Just thinking loud.

I think our forums is a strange land
on one hand we have
communities of people many who have not met & will not meet
but somehow, sometimes it's better that way
people speaking what they actually think & feel
sometimes threatened by critics but generally nothing to hide;
except maybe some crushes for some married member or something

On the other hand, we have some soul stirring comments,
like a recent one from Fearless and i truly believe that if
he were the speech writer for Dr. Carson; Carson would have been the tallest candidate on the R side

Or the 'Don't step on a Duck' from Iamwhoam (know she's deactivated) and yes, it may not be an original;
but stays in mind as a topper

On the third hand, we have members from 2006 and
may be it's their experiences or patience or something
sets a remarkable tone and encourages others to involve
unexpected depths in some forums

ok, coming to the fourth hand
Mingle itself is remarkable having completed 10 years (i think)
and may be having presence in almost all countries in the world
and keeping all those servers going round-the-clock

So?

So why not this year compliment some of the outstanding
forum contributors: who change us subtly (and unintentionally)
for instance take "Crystals paintings" and the story behind it
i know there's a lot of complimenting there
but its a greater success story in the sense
ordinary members like me seem to grow a bit viewing the paintings; maybe because we see versions 2, 3 then 4 and so on
how can anyone measure the impact of 'her sharing' with us
and the knowledge that viewing her pictures is a journey

And in our outside world, we so hesitate to compliment & cherish
& encourage the good among us.. that (ok, )

any prizes?
may be Minglers may say 'this process in itself is the prize'.

so what do you say?
