Any advice on learning to play faster.. or i just nees to continue with finger exercises and repetition? Practice with a metronome or drum loop track (or machine) while doing your exercises and scales. Over time, start increasing the BPM (beats per minute).or try to play double time at a slower BPM. Speed is fun, but just sounds like noise if not in sync. The majority of songs are 60-120 BPM so start somewhere comfortable in that range. Or you could buy a scalloped neck and try Yngwie style with lots of hammers, pull offs and sweep arpeggios.
