How? Like your nipples were an old Nintendo controller and you could flick them up up down down left right left right push the right one and you would be transformed into the opposite sex? And could go back at any time? Heck yeah I'd be switching genders constantly to rob banks and switch back to my secret identity. If it was absolute, like change and can't change back, then no. Personally i would want to try be a female so i would experience how men vibe
That presumes your brain would magically transform with decades of experience living as a woman and you'd be able to see from a females perspective while also maintaining your complete male personality and thought process you are used to. If you just changed your gender but not your brain, completely, you wouldn't really experience how men "vibe" as a woman. If you did change your brain, completely and absolutely, you might really regret changing sexes. And most likely you would not be able to understand the experience objectively. If you just kinda changed, had female perspective, but male identity in order to provide framework for what's different and how to understand it objectively, you'd have far more mental and emotional problems rising up than you'd enjoy walking around experimenting your new gender, possibly building multiple personalities, and more than likely getting pregnant within a week. I always wondered about this question "if you could change sex, would you," and if it's really just motivated by "I want to experience the best of all worlds. I don't really want to change the advantages I think I have now, but I want to add on the advantages that I perceive the other gender to have." Think of any huge, giant, immediate, completely life altering change that anyone has ever gone through and did it lead to something all that positive? Look at lottery winners. All of a sudden they're rich! And in almost all cases poor people that get rich quick, blow it just as quickly. The only ones that kinda make it work simply maintain a regular lifestyle only with nicer things. They already had money, now they just have more of it. Switching genders would just be a huge change without any concept on how to cope or socially behave except through stereotypes. It wouldn't be good. |

I don't think I would. Sex wouldn't feel the same at all. Ha ha. Then there's looking different as the opposite sex, and the different clothing that goes with it. Then the op. It would all be a bit too much for me. Mentally. When I studied drama at college, another fellow student, asked me if I wanted to play the part of a man. I told them I didn't want to. It's one thing looking at another person transforming, it's a completely different thing if you have to look at YOURSELF in the mirror. I couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't feel shocked by my new identity.
Having the guts to do it, is a different thing. I don't think I would. |

Reminds me of John Varley's scifi novel Steel Beach. People could change their sex on a whim. The narrator is one sex for part of the novel, then another.
