Topic: huge crack opens up near Yellowstone | |
---|---|
http://www.undergroundworldnews.com This giant crack in the earth appeared in the last two weeks on a ranch we hunt in the Bighorn Mountains. Everyone here is calling it “the gash”. It’s a really incredible sight.Huntwyo.com Posted by SNS Outfitter & Guides on Friday, October 23, 2015 A follow-up post from today explains a little bit more about the large opening. “An engineer from Riverton, WY came out to shed a little light on this giant crack in the earth. Apparently, a wet spring lubricated across a cap rock. Then, a small spring on either side caused the bottom to slide out. He estimated 15 to 20 million yards of movement. By range finder, an estimate is 750 yards long and about 50 yards wide.” Read More: http://basinreboot.com/2015/10/27/sna… |

That is one honkin' crack. Almost a half a mile long. Other than the water erosion, any reason to believe the Yellowstone lava dome is involved?
It's only like 100 miles from Sheridan WY to Yellowstone National Park, so you're in the neighborhood, so to speak. Could be the precursor to something bigger. Might want to prep a bug out bag if going mobile is required. Stock up the survival pantry in case you can't get out, and have to shelter in place with no shelter, like a quake takes the house down. Winterized tent, clothing and food stocks to get you through at least a couple weeks if you have to dig out or walk out of the area. Maybe set the USGS website as a browser favorite for a while. |

Holy crack! Things definitely are stirring over there ... No1, you got any of this stuff in Canada? You know, faults, volcanoes and stuff? it's geologically similar to the US, most the faults and earthquakes and volcanoes are on the west coast... |

Wyoming is the United States coal capitol. Lots and lots of mining operations. Maybe the whole Powder River Basin will sink into the earth one day.

OMG, where the heck did you dig that one up? LOL I'm not sure what's worse; the underdeveloped chests, the boots or the gift wrapping of their junk. Or the fact that they have nothing much to show for I think I just made up my mind |
