Dat seems quite a bunch love Is that to me? As long as all people were out and pets, that's all I would care about. If I could go back for my valuables, I would, because some of them, like one of my diamond rings was for my 21st and its nice memories. |

If your house was on fire... What would the 3 things you attempt to save before you fled the scene?
"Fled the scene?" That kinda implies I was the one that started the fire possibly due to illegal reasons. If I'm burning down my own house for the insurance money then I'm definitely not saving the rolls royce collection in my living room, the trunks of which I kept my Van Gogh collection. If I'm burning down my house to fake my own death, then I would just save all the money and things that are easily, and anonymously, sold. If I'm burning down my house to cover a murder, I probably wouldn't save anything so no one asks "well, you had time to save (x) why didn't you save them?" |

Fire being a very real threat in California and seeing how people suffer who are not prepared to "rise from the ashes" I have a survival bag with basic necessities so I can bug out fast.
I would grab my birds and leave the rest of the "stuff". Not worth being hurt or dying that kind of death. Or making my kids suffer my being injured or dying. They know where I will go in an emergency. I also keep copies of documents and precious photos on a DVD in my P.O. Box away from my house. Keeping defensible space, batteries in the smoke detector, and an ABC fire extinguisher charged to put out small fires, and a wrench so I can cut off the gas from the outside of the house chained at the shut off helps my chances that the "good Guys" can save my house. |
