Good morning all. Hope you have a blessed day.
Always say a prayer There's work to do Deadlines to meet You've got no time to spare But as hurry and scurry Always say a prayer In the mist of family chaos "quality time" is rare Do your best Let god do the rest Always say a prayer It may seem like your worries Are more that you can bear Slow down and take a breather Always say a prayer God knows how stressful life is He wants to ease our cares And he'll respond asap Always say a prayer (author unknown) |

Greetings to one and all, I have enjoyed reading down through these posts. I found that reply from God, “Sure, just a second” very true.
I am a born again Christian man. I am a sinner, saved by grace. I go to an independent Baptist church right now, not so much because of the doctrine, or the structure of the services, but because I find I can get to the church every time the doors are opened. It was asked, “How well do you know the Bible?” I listen to the Bible as I drive in my car. I have a cheap MP3 player. (About $20) I have loaded the Bible onto it. (If anyone would like an inexpensive copy of the Bible on MP3 format, give me a shout. I have the entire bible on three CDs I can make a copy for you. ) I still read the Bible as often as I can gather together the time and the energy to do so, but I find the effortless listening to the Bible as I drive has given me a better understanding of the messages God has for us in His Word. I am new to salvation. I spent most of my life lost and in sin. Now I find I am thirsty for the Word of God. Last Thursday I worked alone all day. I was able to start at Corinthians and listen all the way to the third epistle of John during my day of working in the woods. By listening as I worked, my thoughts were focused on God and on His word. That made my day a good day. I am thankful for this gathering place. Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Lord, if it is Your will, enable me to check back and see the posts that are written here. I hope to become friends with you all. JB |

Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone To have a deep soul relationship with another To be loved thoroughly and exclusively But, God, to a Christian says: No, not until you are satisfied, filled and content with being loved by Me alone with giving yourself totally and unreservedly to Me alone discovering that only in Me is your satisfaction to be found will you be capable of the perfect human relationship that I have planned for you. You will never be united with one another until you are united with Me. Exclusively for anyone or anything else Exclusively for any other desires or longings I want you to stop wishing and allow Me to give you the most thrilling plan existing One that you cannot imagine I want you to have the best. Please allow Me to bring it to you. You must keep watching Me, expecting the greatest things. Keep experiencing the satisfaction that I am, keep learning the things that I want to tell you. You just wait, wait. That’s all. Don’t be anxious. Don’t worry Don’t look around at the things that others have gotten or that I have given them Don’t look at the things you think you want You just keep looking off and away to Me, or you’ll miss what I want to show you , and when you are ready I will surprise you with a love more beautiful than you could dream of. You see, until you are ready and until the one I have for you is ready, You will never be able to experience the great love that is waiting for you (I am working even at this very moment to have both of you ready at the same time) Until you are both satisfied with Me and the life I’ve prepared for you, you won’t be able to experience the love that exemplifies your relationship with Me, and this is the perfect love. And dear one, I want you to have the most wonderful love. I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your relationship with Me and enjoy materially and concretely the everlasting union of beauty, and perfection and love that I offer you with Myself. Know that I love you utterly I am God ……… Believe it and be satisfied. "Be Still and know that I am God" - Psalm 46:10 author unknown. I love that quote from psalm 46.10 - That became very real to me after my husband passed. |

I know this is a forum of people looking to find someone. We all have our advertisements for ourselves on this site saying that we are looking. I think most of us are here for similar reasons as myself. (Correct me if I am in error on this) We have been married, failed, and are now looking to try again. Can I ask a question? Is it right for people such as myself to seek out a new mate?
What does the Bible, the King James Bible, the Word of God advise us? These are the words of Jesus. Matthew 5: 31. It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: 32. But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. When the Pharisees confronted Jesus about marriage and divorce, this is what He had to say. Matthew 19:3. The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 4. And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5. And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6. Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 7. They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 8. He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. 10. His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. 11. But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Mark in his gospel also recounts what the Lord had to say about marriage and divorce. Mark 10 1. And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again. 2. And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him. 3. And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? 4. And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. 5. And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. 6. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8. And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 10. And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. 11. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. 12. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. In the Gospel of Luke: Luke 16: 14. And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. 15. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. 16. The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. 17. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. 18. Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. Paul in his first epistle to the church at Corinth said this: 1 Corinthians 7 1. Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 3. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 4. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 5. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. 6. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. This entire seventh chapter of the first epistle to the Corinthians is worth a study. 24. Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God. 25. Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful. 26. I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. 27. Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. 39. The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. These verses were rattling around in my head today as I was painting. I knew I had set about to find a new mate. There is a part of me that feels doing this is not right. There is another list of verses I could come up with that tell us to find a help meet and to treat her as we treat our own bodies. Ephesians 5 28. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. I would be interested in what other God fearing mate seekers think about this. Lord, give me wisdom to know what is right. JB |
