He claims will be easily proven(or refuted) with medical and police records, fortunately
Kamilah Brock says the New York City police sent her to a mental hospital for a hellish eight days, where she was forcefully injected with powerful drugs, essentially because they couldn't believe a black woman owned a BMW. In her first on-camera interview about her ordeal, which aired Thursday, the 32-year-old told PIX11 that it was all a "nightmare." It's a nightmare, Brock's lawyer told The Huffington Post, that never would have happened if she weren't African-American. this is an inflammatory story and i would appreciate knowing the whole story not just one persons statement as its not possible to ascertain anything without knowing the whole story from both sides as medication is administered in psy hospitals when folks are acting out violently and i am not accusing just would like to know the entire story before the typical rush to judgment .This type of reporting is manipulative as various motives of racism, aggression are all presented with out context leading others to be emotionally stimulated for a myriad of purposes least of which being the truth...

They diagnosed her as bipolar sent her to a mental health institute and injected her with drugs because of a car. Really ... that is seriously wrong.
She did not have anything previously stating of a mental health problem ? That is weird. |

it is true, most journalism now jumps to be the first with very little verification and facts,,,,,this piece is guilty as well
however, it sparks an interest in following what happens next, when more FACT is included,,,,, if its happened as this slant indicates, from stopping at a light because the hands werent on the wheel(?) , to taking her from the location but not charging her with anything (?) , to lying about needing to handcuff her to get her car and then taking her to a med facility and injecting her without consent,,,, if these are proven to be the FACTS, it does seem pretty screwed up,,,, |

Kamilah Brock, a 32 year-old banker at Astoria Bank and rapper by the stage Akilah Brock, claims she was stopped by police, had her car seized and was placed in a psych ward against her will for 8 days because police couldn’t believe she was a business woman and that Barack Obama follows her on Twitter.
Brock says was she stopped on September 12, 2014 by police officers who believed she was high on weed. Although the officers found no marijuana, the cops still seized her 2003 BMW. When Brock went to the police to pick up her car in Harlem, she claims police cuffed her and stuffed her in an ambulance and sent her off to the hospital. Akilah Brock says the next thing she knew the doctor was sticking her with a needle while the police was holding her. Following that, Brock claims she woke with them taking off her underwear as she went out again only to wake up the next day in a hospital robe. Brock claims for 8 days she was subjected to forced injections of powerful sedatives and held against her will because the police and doctors didn’t believe she was a banker at Astoria and that President Barack Obama follows her on Twitter although a simple check could have proven both. |

Wouldn't they have to prove the car was stolen. So many questions that is for sure. I found this article as well http://flavorwire.com/511533/the-terrifying-case-of-kamilah-brock-proves-life-is-crazier-than-fiction |

originally it said she was stopped because her hands werent on the wheel, and suspicion of weed(her version)

I agree. thats the reason for the title will the evidence prove or refute the claim?,,,, That will be for a judge and jury to decide. 'If', during the stop, the woman behaved in a bizarre manner, or, behaved in such a way, as to lead the officers to believe she posed a threat to herself and/or others. They were within their rights, to have her committed involuntarily, for a psych eval. Given that she claims to have been held for eight days, the medical professionals must have seen some issue with her. Individual states, regulate how long a person can be held involuntarily, for a psych eval, ranging from 24 to 72 hours. The police, can't mandate a longer stay. 'If', the mental health professionals had deemed there not to be an issue, they could have released her at any time during the eval. On the other hand, 'IF', she was singled out for driving/owning a BMW while black... in that case, it would have been a violation of her rights. 'But', unless we're chosen for jury duty in this issue... and even then, I doubt any one of us, will ever know what 'really' happened. |

BMW is a brand that keeps a decent value, but it was a 2003. Not like she was driving a 2014 that cost $100,000.
I find it hard to believe that it was because she was driving an 11 year old BMW... haha |
