How ironic, that people forget.
A huge issue is made of five Chinese ships, OFF THE COAST of Alaska. During the Clinton era, Chinese war ships routinely made port at U.S. Naval stations on the west coast. Namely, Long Beach, CA.. |

There is a difference between "coming to visit" and "violating territorial waters". True.. which they have NEVER done before. Russia violating our air space, months ago, no one care about that either. I posted a link, months ago, from CNN, about the islands the Chinese are building for military purposes, no one cared about that either. People are a little too secure & thinking a few generations back.. that we are still The Great And Powerful Oz & outsiders assume every American has a gun. * ![]() I made the Pearl Harbor comparison intentionally, because LETTING that get hit, was the ONLY way, OUR government could convince Americans to go to war. But...no one will pay attention to that either.... Don't look at the man behind the curtain... Oh look! ... .... a squirrel. ![]() |

It has been an ongoing issue for years, but China has been doubling their efforts to populate and develop these islands and reefs. Why? Oil and mineral reserves, and likely strategic location. More recently, the US flew surveillance jets over the south China sea and have navy ships within range of the disputed islands. China didnt like it. China just celebrated 70 years of "winning" WWII. They displayed a lot of military equipment, vehicles and paraphernalia. Putin was present in the celebrations. It's a passive-aggrssive move. Show of force. |

" Then go to war, cancel the elections & ask The Emperor Daddy for life to save us.. while we willing give up our freedoms... China & Russia laughs & the rich get richer. My quote from one of my previous threads.
----------------------------------------------------- With this rationale... break out the rice steamer & chopsticks. Not the disposal ones we can't afford it. We have landlords then. * Approximately how much we owe China, 1.7+ TRILLION * http://useconomy.about.com/od/worldeconomy/p/What-Is-the-US-Debt-to-China.htm/ Landlords may have a debt bug up the a@@, & want back rent or have property rights. During the Clinton era, Chinese war ships routinely made port at U.S. Naval stations on the west coast. Namely, Long Beach, CA.. There is a difference between "coming to visit" and "violating territorial waters". To "visit", they had to "violate" territorial waters. |
