Topic: Do Men Really READ the profiles ??? | |
---|---|
OK first thing I did upon seeing this was go there. You have some nice interests, especially the camping and traveling, but even if I drove instead of flying to my place in Alaska you are way on the other side of Canada....yes the real people on here do read profiles Yes but you are part Alaskan so that sets you apart lol Are you heading back yet??? Thanks: yes, a couple of weeks in Florida minus a long work weekend at Georgia hunt camp. No grass growing under my feet yet |

Some men just look at the photos; they're reading-impaired, horntoads, or both.
But as has been said here more than once, real men read profiles. How else are you gonna know if there could be a real connection? And some ladies write some pretty funny stuff. I don't mean that in a deprecating way; I mean that they show a good sense of humor. One I read today from Kittenbritches here in Maine was a good example. Okay, I noticed her photo first (hey, men are wired as visual creatures), but I _did_ read the entire profile. And another thing: "Columbus didn't need directions, and neither do I." |

I read the profile. But sometimes I will still ask what the person is looking for. The reason I ask is because the profile usually just skims the top of who the person is. So if I ask it's because I want to know more.
I've been hearing the gripe about men not reading profiles for years. But here is the things I notice about women's profiles. Most of them are not as detailed as some believe. A lot of them are at the most very vague. Some seem to think that a one or two sentence profile is good enough. A lot of them seem to say the same thing. I would say that at least 90% of them lead off with one of the biggest turnoffs a man can read, "My kids are my world." letting the man know right quick where he's going to fall in the pecking order. Another one is bragging about their job. Which is another turnoff. At least for me. On this site, I've been here off and on since 2012. On this site, I see the most blank profiles. Women don't seem to have much to say about themselves. With the exception of one thing, "Ask me" or "Hi" I don't know about other guys. But to me is another turnoff. I also see a lot of, "If you don't have a car or a house, Don't bother to write me." I understand why women put things like this in their profiles. But some things are better left unsaid. For a lot of guys, it's a turn off to read such as this. Even though a lot guys may understand why you write this, it still sends out the vibe, "golddigger." Which will send a lot of guys packing. Anyway, I know I'm a little off track here. But at the same time, women gripe about men not reading profiles. With the things I see written in a lot of women's profiles, If it wasn't for the empty headed ones writing, a lot of women wouldn't have anyone writing them. |

My apology, read that wrong, I did go through Alberta when I carried my Motor Home up 10 years ago Was above Calgary, as crossed over at the portals in North Dakota I believe and left Alberta right at the start of the Alaska Hyw in BC...hard to remember everything about that trip |

exactly so why complain that i did not read Perhaps she is expecting you to read her mind instead. lol! Now, that needs a skill in mind reading or go to Astrology app for tarot reading or just get the birthdate and look for the zodiac sign , maybe there you will get a view of the personality |
