Topic: Is A Woman Supposed To Look For A Man? | |
---|---|
Even though the bible says,'' whosoever findeth a wife findeth a good thing.''
I see that some woman even I am looking for a man because I have been hurt by the men God put in my life and all of them has broken my heart. They all said they were Christian but later in our relationship they want to have sex but when I tell them I don't believe in sex before marriage they would get upset and find another girl to have sex with or hurt me bad by physically abusing me. So now I'm starting to look for a man. Do you think I should continue waiting or is it good for a woman to look for a good man? |

Matthew 7:7 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you I'm in the same boat as you. Just have patience that God is saving the best for last :) What might help you is not specifically "look" for a man. But live your life and when God feels it right, then you two will stumble across each other. If you focus on it, dwelling on the fact that it hasn't happened yet, it will only bring heart ache. Trust in the Lord knowing it will happen. Not just specifically believing it will happen or hoping it will happen, but actually knowing it will happen :) |

And do not lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Amen! |

"...he/she that seeks finds..." There is nothing wrong in a woman 'looking' for a husband. There are men who are naturally shy and can hardly woo a woman for marriage. Others are shy to even talk to a lady sister because of conservative doctrinal teachings they recieved in the church where they were converted. They can talk in writing but find it hard to stand face to face with the opposite sex. And I must admit that I am one of such people. If after prayers, you recieved a leading from the HolySpirit to talk to a brother about marriage, its rather commendable!!

There is nothing wrong about Matured woman making the first move, unless she's ill motivated.
Going by the creation account as recorded in GEN. 2: 21-22 one could rightly believe that Adam were still sleeping till Eve reached unto; and woke him up - to enjoy and appreciate the divine providence; of her companionship. Also, in Prov. 31:10-3. Instead of being wearied or dishonoured for taking the supposed role of the "man of the house" in providing for her family, the virtuous woman is encouraged and praised. I should not be misunderstood to be supporting indolence on the part of of menfolk, neither am i lendig credence to the ill-conceived feminist movements World-over, my main concern here is to praise any woman who really knows her Onion. "her prize is really far above rubies. |

I find nothing good or bad about 'looking', if that is what you want to do. |

A good man, is a man who knows he needs God first in his life! Seeking a man can be a risk for hurt. Pray and let God lead you to a godly man. Mens Actions speak louder than who he says he is!
