I've been with my man for 3yrs. Lived with him for 2, and so far everything is good. The only problem is my family hates him. They pretend he doesn't exist. Not that I talk to them a whole lot, but I would be nice for him to try to get a long with them. Every time I say something about it he gets pissed, and blows me off... what to do?

Yes..why do they hate him? did he do anything to you in the past or something?

Their opinion of him might change. When my mom was dating my dad her parents absolutely HATED my Dad, some time after they got married, they somehow finally warmed up to him.

idc what my parents say about my dates, and your married, if you love him, you shouldnt really care either. you should try and find a way to get them to like them, but if you cant then i guess there's nothing you can do

I think they hate him because I moved in with him when I was 17 and they want me to come back home so they think if I leave him I'll move back with them. Which is not the case. I've had plenty of people challange our relationship and I let it roll off my back. I just care because it's my family and I want them to see that he is a great guy. My boyfriend gets mad so easy about it because my dad was kinda of ripping us off awhile ago and my boyfriend said hey this is kinda a raw deal for us and my dad turned around and told him to f off. So he's pretty much fed up...

sometimes its good to move away from the family!!
