Topic: 25 People viewed my profile | |
---|---|
I get this message to my email... 25 people viewed my profile. Do they expect me to jump up and down and get excited? Actually I look at it like this: 25 people viewed my profile today and not one person is even brave enough to say "Hello". I get more exciting email telling me someone chose Me as their favorite~! yippee ... and yet they don't want to speak to me... And even more encouraging the last person who did message me claimed to be five years younger than this profile state~! Yes, I'm excited.... not.... Two others that actually message me on their own accord were bipolar... yes, they accused me of wanting a free meal~! hello.. say what? You messaged me, remember, I don't even want to see you... click... delete...
Anyone else out there discouraged? I had one good meeting.. the guy like disappeared, later to learn he suddenly died, really. His sister got in contact with me. Treat every day like it's your last day folks because it just may be. Signed, Discouraged |

Signed, Discouraged My opinion.... just have some fun with the site, view the threads and stuff like that. and let the chips fall where they will. I think you will then be pleasantly surprised. Good luck :) |

Laughing along with you lam.....
I have seen three local men on here that I know and messaged a hello message. And all three I know are married~! Needless to say, they did not reply. Think I'd have better luck in the supermarket... grabbing purse and running out the door soon. At least I'd know that they are real and see some of the things they like. You can tell a lot about a person by what they buy. My dad told me years ago, if you want to know about a man, look at his shoes. I'll be looking. giggle. |

I like to wear odd shoes, as in 2 left, or 2 right. I do only because of the great sense of relief I get at the end of the day, when I take them off.!!

Kandy do you realize that you may have to make the first move. Guys believe it or not are people too. They have feelings and some of them hate rejection as well as women. If you are getting 25 views well you are doing something right. If a guy interests you what can it hurt to message him. The worst that can happen he says no. Did you give up when you were looking for a job, and you dealt with being rejected. Probably not. The thing about shoes kind of reminds me of the goofy movie "Forrest Gump".

Actually Cracker, I've left many messages. Only one returned. The nice gentlemen told me he had someone for now and wished me well. I have been looking pretty regularly for those in my area because I don't like to travel. And sadly the response is slim.

My dad died long before the "Forest Gump" movie but I liked Forest. Need to revisit that movie again soon. "Run, Forest, Run"

Shy is fine. A lot of the women here are shy also. Someone has to make the first move. I try to do some of the each day. Knowing both sides are shy, hoping for some to at least be a brave enough to want to try.

First I want to gripe you get an email telling you that people have perved your profile??? What the heck Mingle I don't get that
I have to agree with Cracker...most of all the great dates I have had off most dating sites I have made contact and usually they were from the Forums I also have never sent an email that said something of the effect of "hey I think you are hot look me over and let me know... " Reference only to an email I got today..lol... I know this site works I have made many friends throughout the years I have been here that are no couples and they have stayed that way. Internet dating isn't for the impatient one or the faint hearted. It is tough out here and boy sometimes you will go months with out a nibble then all the sudden the whole damn school of fish will be fighting over a little morsel you have dangling out there... Hang in there I know I was and I ended up with a great guy.. |

This is what I learned/heard on Steve Garvey Show just last week: he had a social specialist from some single dating site and her #1 advice was: "it's going to take sending and responding to at least 60 times the number of listing's and messages that you notice/desire on any given 'SINGLE WEB SITE' just because of the mass numbers of 'SCAMMERS & PERVERTS' that have access now to those same places!"
But - BUT...just don't give up; amongst all of the 'Scammers & Perverts' are those REAL HUMANS that sincerely have your same hopes & desires to meet and fall in love & live forever after! Notice I didn't say 'HAPPILY' ever after; nothing is written in stone It's all about the WORK that we/you put into it --- that seems to be the #1 hang up most of us have --- impatient and working the SINGLE SITE! |

First I want to gripe you get an email telling you that people have perved your profile??? What the heck Mingle I don't get that I also am wondering where this email came from, sounds like one of those ads one can click on. Now, 'Who Viewed Me' or your 'Recent Activity' will show how many have viewed you, but an email? Send it to me so I can have a peek at it OP, would you? |

how many of them would you like soufie One would do it..? There is an email "Someone wants to meet you on Mingle2! 4 new people have said that they are interested in meeting you through Mutual Match, but you have not rated them yet." But they are not peeps who have viewed you (though they have) but rather those who have said 'Yes' or 'Maybe' when viewing your profile. |
