No I have antiobiotics for him......vet said I dont need to do anything at the moment except that but I do have polysporin which I had been putting on for 2 days......vet said it was ok but there is a small percentage of cats that are allergic to it

Ya I think he got into a fight......he is afraid of my other cat but I dont think it was him because they have been together for so long and nothing like this has happened.....I think it was another big grey cat that got him

As long as it's not abcessing, If it's open at least it can drain & heal from the inside out..

Did the vet say it is an ulcerated wound, if so, all it would have taken was a tooth puncture wound to start an abcess, which sounds like it's blown out, and you have the inch wide wound now...

and yes the tooth puncture could have been a week or so ago, it would take that long to abcess.

not absessing...........its just red......they shaved him in that spot so now I can just glance and see!!! He keeps licking it.........awwwwwwwwww he is such a good kitty..........lets me give him meds etc no problemo!!!

The other cat, smokey would have ripped my arm off and the vets!!!!

This was last night. my friend's b/fs cat..
the note from her..
I called the ASPCA poison hot line, talked to a vet. She said it sounded like the cat threw a blood clot in his aorta and it is very painful, and almost always fatal, even if he had gotten him to a vet. Apparently fairly common in big healthy male cats.

Im lost................my cat threw up a huge slug looking thing today with grass.........same thing???
