Queen's bohemian rhapsody is absolutely amazing Yes it is but that came out in 1975 then was re-released in 1991 after Freddies death. As for the 80's I was into electro stuff such as Gary Numan, OMD, Human league etc but also liked XTC and a few Punk bands who were still on the go such as stranglers. I then got into meatal such as Maiden, Twisted Sister and older bands like Led Ze, AC/DC etc. Queen were always my favourite but I aslo had to listen to other stuff in the 80's, we were a big family in a small house and my sisters listened to Brian Ferry, Spandau Ballet, Durran durran and the like. Weird times indeed,lol

The 80's music scene started off ok, the embers of punk were still glowing but I think it all went T**s up when rap and house came along and punk was all but forgotten and metal went a bit underground apart from the cock rock stuff such as Kiss, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi!

Am absolutely a 'Hair Band' crazoid. Still the only stuff I really enjoy playing. I play and teach guitar and it makes me laugh to hear folks say, 'You can play THAT!?'
Old guys rule!  Wish I could find more guys my age that wanted to put a band together. This ol' college town'd never be the same.

Twisted Sister. "I am I'm Me" an absolute classic, you can't stop rock and roll and stay hungry were top notch. They had a contractual wrangle and seemed to dissapear.Gary Numan was also, still is class," Are friends electric" and "cars" are classics
