They get it from their man ( or should). It works both ways. You want your mate to be successful in whatever they chose to do, so you encourage them, listen to them when they vent or give advise ( when asked for advise) That could be in the work force or not.. whatever. You want them to be happy in their choices, so you help them to get to that point. it works both ways. It certainly should work both ways, but I've seen more women be successful without a man than men without a woman. I guess a lot comes down to personal determination too. Some have it, some don't. true that

The old saying is so true that "Behind every successful man is a good woman". To which Groucho Marks liked to add "and behind her was his wife" LOL. But all kidding aside, why is it true for successful men but not true that good men are behind a successful woman. What do you men say for yourselves and where do you women find motivation, determination and the dedication it takes to be successful Behind every good woman are other good women And that profile pic so fitting with that comment............touche!

Behind every good man or woman are good parents in my opinion, most of the time anyway. A bottle of vodka has also been known to help. I wish I was only as good as they would have wanted me to be. Very proud son of truly great parents

The old saying is so true that "Behind every successful man is a good woman". I thought the old saying was actually "behind every great man is a great woman." But, just using your version of the saying then personally, in this day and age, I would amend it to "behind every man judged to be successful is the appearance of a stable, loving, healthy, and supportive relationship which is still perceived as the domain of women. The implied relationship puts people at ease that the guy belongs, is normal, desirable, and (most importantly) trustworthy so should be listened to." why is it true for successful men but not true that good men are behind a successful woman. Because that's the image that is being pushed in the pc world. Men need women to be good. Women need to be strong and independent on their own. "Sisters are doin' it for themselves." People like sayings like "behind every successful man is a good woman," because it makes life easier to not think. What do you men say for yourselves Key lime pie is my favorite?

Through out time, it was always women.. get married, leave your family, stay home, change your name, be a good supportive wife, have kids, take care of them, cook, clean, shop , be a good mom.... blah blah blah. Now days- No matter if the woman is married or not, she is working, if she wants to have a career or any success then school. And what does she have? KIDS. Where is her wife? Sure the guy may do SOME things to help. Sure he may be supportive. But how much? How offen? If there even is a guy there? So who helps with the kids? Emotional support? Other women... mom, friends, neighbors, babysitter, day care... etc. * Dramatic music *
