2 dang much rain...missing curbs - now a lake at the end of the hwy as it enters the little town where I live! Not my neighbors kids - not sure who they are; but we have sewer line leaks EVERYWHERE and when there's this much storm water all that fecal debris mixes with that storm water and those humans really shouldn't be swimming/wading/playing in it! But adults have been trying to get the OUT OF THAT BIO-HAZARD water and they are just ignoring them. UGH

Feeling blessed. Have the sweetest young family that moved in across from me and I told them if they need tools to come over and ask. They rarely do but today he did and is out there knocking himself out trying to surprise his young bride with the patio all cleaned up for the weekend. So we chopped and trimmed and it looks stellar. He gave me a beautiful mature rose he dug out for the back of my patio and a piece for TV antenna. So sweet saves me trying to figure out what to get. Life is good. Didn't make it to the pool but always tomorrow.

sweaty sitting on my basement steps wondering what to do now? Dehumidifier finally decided it was 'DONE', pool pump smells really bad and just keeps kicking off {think it's done too} that leaves me and my 6 gal shop vac and a bucket brigade carrying a couple 2gal buckets up the stairs to dump into the bathroom! As I sit on the steps and watch the water bubble up thru the seam in the concrete floor --- Yipper --- I'm whiney & tired and soooooo sick of the rain!

Been through this miserable problem years ago. If it is any comfort we are just dry as a bone and watching the storm clouds that will bring more dry lightening and quite likely burn down what little is left that is living. Spent hours outside this afternoon clearing defensible space around the young neighbors house.
