i'm curious about tattoos...like, how and when the practice began..?
how young were you, when you got your first one ? was there peer pressure influence or did you do it on your own say so ? did you stop at just one or are you starting to run out of skin space ? it used to be unheard of for women to have one, now it's the other way around, why ? you're all welcome to relate your experiences (good/bad), i think it might be an interesting read for the forum.....myself, i have none... |

Don't have any. Wouldn't want Mercury Poisoning all over again.
GOOD BYE DEVILDOG. Sorry about the battle of the picture controversy. |

23 for my first one, went with some girlfriends and did it for fun. 2nd one 8 years ago in honor of my two furbabies I lost to antifreeze poisoning. Last year in Kauai, when snorkeling I was approached by a seaturtle, and the experience was so cool I had to commemorate it!
I want more, I want to design my next one. |

Hey Argo nice to see you.I got my only tattoo when I was 18 my only regret was the one I wanted took two days to finish and I was paranoid about leaving with only half a tattoo done until the next day so I settled for another one that the artist could finish that day. I guess I have buyers remorse.

Personally, I have 6 of them, all of which mean something. I do plan on getting more, but not to the point that I run out of places to put them. Mine are all in places that are easily concealed, and my future tattoos will also be easily concealed. They are not as stigmatized as they once were, but personally, I think it looks tacky if they can't be easily concealed with a pair of pants and a long sleeve t-shirt. I also recommend being very selective about who you allow to tattoo lettering on you. You don't want something in ink on your skin that is terribly misspelled.

I don't do tattoos. My skin is sacred.

Exactly like that! ^^^^^^^^
Tattoos are a personal choice. People have them or not for their own reasons. As for women with tattoos, whether or not she is tattooed is not important. That said, some are classy and some are tacky. |
