All I look for in a relationship is mutual love, not to be treated like crap or I'm out, why does that sound horrible? What sounds horrible is someone saying that men and women are gonna treat each other like crap and that's that, so be happy or be alone. How depressing to be ok with crap for love. what people are saying is nobody is perfect. even the best relationships have crazy, crappy days. you deal with the issue and move on. that doesn't mean to expect to be beaten or belittled or whatever. it means we all have a pissy day from time to time. also, there is something to stop and think about if either considers sex, chores or whatever as a bargaining tool. how you resolve issues from crappy days is through communication. there are a lot of good men responding on here, who are gentlemen. yet they are being unfairly called misogynist because they question some of the comments on here. many are trying to make a valid point in a thread that is questioning if men like them exist. I will repeat good people, both men and women exist if you look for the positive  Thanks, Ana for being so patient and repeating to emphasize. If anything, this thread has shown us some of the most patient of people, both men and women alike who have gone out of their way to push their point across.
Good people exist, bad people exist.....BOTH men & women!!! Just watching from the sidelines and stepping in occasional..... I swear that I am getting bruised and battered! Wonderwoman.....smartwoman! (standing behind Wonderwoman now to avoid the bashing  )

I believe women deserve better..did you know that murder is one of the leading causes of death for pregnant women? Are you kidding me...where do you come up with this stuff......you find any excuse you can to blame men.....like I said before...get over yourself...we have all had heartache!!! Unfortunately this is a real statistic. It was told to me by by my legal aid lawyer after I left my abusive marriage while pregnant. Also the first year after a woman leaves an abusive marriage is the most dangerous time in her life... But hey, I survived and carried on to love again. I still appreciate all the wonderful men out there. I wasn't going to let my experience ruin the rest of my life. As a result my sons are 2 of those wonderful men. |

You are absoloutely right DadCat. Completely off topic. My apologies for responding to a previous comment. Because you asked here is a link to the pregnancy homicides (there are more if you are interested) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1449204/ My apologies also for being so general in my statement about the dangers when a woman leaving an abusive relationship. Of course I meant the danger was related to the abusive partner and not in general. I hope that clears up any misunderstanding. I shall endeavour to do a better job in my postings from now on. |
