You wouldn't watch for the story if I'm around, cos I go through the entire 1,5 hrs movie in 5 minutes

What if during the viewing you were sitting very very close to someone you had been intimate with, a deep voiced incredible smelling guy you really really liked, and while you were watching the screen he whispered sensually into your ear how excited he is to put you in the same positions, or how he would do things differently because he knew your particular tastes, pointed out things in the movie like settings where he'd take you, and subtle nuances in facial expression and body language to look for where you can tell when the actress is faking it and when she's really responding and lists your own tells, confessing to you fantasies that he has about you that are brought to mind, all the while slowly exploring with his hands?

...Would that make any kind of difference?

Yes, that would make a difference. That would shift the emphasis from watching porn because the man wants to, to him using it as a means to excite me. With that it could become a great experience for both of us.

But like Rusty, I doubt there are men who'd do that.

In my experience, porn is something men watch when they think you're gone or asleep, even when you're okay with watching it together.
I have a friend who's ex hubby watched porn every single minute she and their kid were gone. She couldn't even enter the house normally, she always knocked on the window first and stalled, so he could put it away, lest their child wouldn't see daddy hauling his ashes while watching porn.

Now that's sad and pathetic, but that's usually how men deal with porn.
Makes me wonder if they realize how painful that can be for a woman. Surely men would feel emasculated when we were drooling over other men all the time. So then why do it to us?

Find most porn boring nowdays too many close ups of body parts not enough story bad acting the stories are all the same as the last one you watched.
Like some of the old porn films which were funny to watch with some light comedy which had bigger budgets but now it's all just cheap rubbish.

Feel sorry for the young girls that get forced or tricked into making porn films.

I agree with charles .....most of the rapists admit imitation of what they watch in porn while raping an innocent victim..

If we were to ban porn (in the U.S ), then IMO prostitution should become a legal industry (like it is in some other countries).

We have Imo a very weird dichotomy in the U.S we use seexx to sell everything, showing girl's in string bikinis eating hamburgers, it's expected and accepted.

But we flip out over parent's breastfeeding their babies, or accidental nip slips like we are a puritan society.

We are the largest consumers of porn in the world, and we use sexx constantly for advertising, but at the same time we tell kids they shouldn't think about it, and that it's 'evil'.

We refuse to legalize prostitution because it's 'immoral' when our society as whole is pushing immorality for everything else.

It's no wonder that kids are confused, I say OK ban porn, and make prostitution legal.

But without opening another outlet for 'sexuallly frustrated' people....um we will create more monsters than there are already.

This is something I have gone back and forth on for years. I have come to the realization that Porn, protistution, and any other sexual thing is neutral; how people react to it is the real problem. IF porn is used to encourage lovemaking or stimulate someone when they are single, what's the problem. If people use porn as a substitute for a real partner, it's a problem. Similarly, if someone feels guilty about porn, that is a person problem. In the same way, what's the problem with a single man hanging out with protistutesSex by itself is cheap; attach feelings to it, it's a beautiful thing. ?

there is a portion of the population that becomes 'hooked on it'
to the point that
they are no longer able or willing to have a real relationship
because no woman can 'measure up' to what they are watching everyday

I think also that young men watching porn gives them a false sense of what sex usually is between two people..
Real females aren't like those in porn shows.... And for a guy to expect that type of mannerisms and behaviour in a real life situation , well expectations are not being met...problems arise then..their perspective is wrong..

just read article not to far back
about that porn is trying to corner the consumer market on women
there are sites designed just with women in mind
no I don't mean homosexuals only but hetero also

some have erotic story lines
some have romance
some have pornography that doesn't spend quite so much time with a woman
uh...on her knees pleasing the guy so to speak
the women do not look pre-pubescent and there is a lot less violence

seems women as porn consumers are growing in number

That's a two way street. More and more women ARE portraying the mannerisms and behavior of women in porn. Not saying that its good or bad....or saying it's caused by porn or what they expect men want....just that its happening

When I was still with my hubby, meaning 15+ years ago, I've seen a docu on a couple or two women who'd just started making porn for women.
But if it still isn't really available I guess that must have failed, otherwise more would've done it.

I have not seen a whole lot of porn, can't even remember the last time I seen it, as it's just bloody boring. But I have never seen one that appealed to me. Always disappointing. The men never do what turns me on. So for me most if not all are a turn off, not a turn on.

Yeah, and from what I understand this stuff with labia correction also has to do with porn stars. Women feeling uncomfortable when their intimate parts don't look 'as good' as a porn star's frustrated

Now there are some cases where I would say, "yes, please have a correction", but in general ... isn't it going a bit far?

And most of these women's bodies is fake as bleep anyway. Fake boobs, fake lips, fake hair, fake everything.

I think its should be banned... Porn got me into masturbating... Before I know I got addicted to it.. I was used to masturbating atleast once in a day... There was a time I had to make research about masturbation.. Which I got that too much masturbation really affects someone.. And about porn also.. Watching too much of that affect the brain ..

Well, being into BDSM as I am, I can totally buy it. Femdom porn is definitely out there. As far as regular porn for women, can't comment on. I do know that there are plenty of websites with sex stories on them, BDSM, other fantasies, and vanilla.

masturbating is not a sin -
do it quietly and quickly and get on with your day..Now, if all you do is stay home and watch porn all day long.. then you need to start focusing on something else.. like a job, hobby, volunteering, reading...maybe reduce porn watching to once a month - ..

Child pornography needs to be banned and dealt with an iron hand.

But banning adult pornography should not be even considered! Banning it would be against the fundamental rights of an Individual. Watching porn should be left to the discretion of an individual. There is nothing wrong in watching porn. Some People find the industry exploitative. Exploitation is a legal issue which is not only prevalent in porn industry but in many other industries. There are laws to prevent it.
