I thought shirtless photos were off limits for a dating site. It seems that men feel that is all they have to offer. It seems that they think women are shallow. Shallow Hal has a sister named Shallow Gal, and she shows up here occasionally.

If it is a stranger, it is not appealing. If one knows them, howsomever, an additional pic of the goods serves to open ones eyes a wee :-) There are a couple Canadians on here that are rocking their pics this way :- That's our Canadian guys! They just can't help it!

Its a Mars vs Venus thing isn't it?..... guys think brawn gets the girl, but I think the girls want to see how a guy scrubs up in clothes... ummm how well he wears them.... save the shirt off for pic 2 and 3....

there are many people who just shouldn't go around shirtless. and not just online. I'm surprised that those who often and loudly speak up for women's equality haven't advocated for that here

Are shirtless pictures for men appealing on dating sites? Does it have to be a self-taken picture in the bathroom of all places? Kinda questionable but forgivable are natural shots with him shirtless, such as in the pool or on a boat. I personally dislike them but of course I don't speak for all women and I'm sure some like them. I don't like. I move right on to next profile. I want a close up & clear pic of the entire head. And read what they wrote. Shirtless, hats, sunglasses & photos that are dark, blurry or taken next to a car or a scenic view.. I avoid. I think it is an intentional distraction. So I'm not interested at all.

If they can rock it why not. I have seen a few that had shirtless pictures up that I perved a few times.. Not a great profile picture..Need to have ones with shirts on as well.. But get real if they look good that is men/women why not be proud of it.. Truthfully if they have a good body you will be able to tell with a shirt on... But hey some of us women like to look at the eye candy too...

I think shirtless pics should be kept in their personal profile... When they force all the other guys to view it because it's posted as their main pic, it kinda makes me worry about their orientation...

I always thought the rule of thumb was, "if you post a shirtless pic you should also be holding up a dead fish".

Yeah, really don't like the shirtless photo of a man holding a dead fish. The worst is looking at a profile of 5 or 6 photos of a guy with a dead deer, dead bear, dead any animal or a gun in their hand with a huge smile on their face. Are they trying to impress women, or other men?

I can enjoy a guy who has 6 pack abs but if a man has anything other than that and posts a shirtless pic anywhere on his profile...ick.....ugh......ewww. I don't care if he's at the beach or fishing or whatever. If he has a gut at all, he has no bidness showing his nekkid belly!
