I cannot believe how many people on here are so fake. not just on here, other sites as well. am I going to give you my email...no. do you have skype...it is free....what no sorry you don't have it, well get it...if you do not use it then you are NOT who you say you are and you have stolen someones identity photo. If you will not take that risk to be on video then you area a fake and you should be ashamed of yourself for wasting the time of people that are really looking for someone.

And do not call us dear or sweetie. we have just met and are no ones dear or sweetie at this point.

Thank you,

everyone has their own preference

I, for one, do not have Skype because I do not have a camera on my computer. I choose not to have a camera because I have had my computer hacked into before and I share it with my children, I literally used a plug and play cheap camera for my photo here because I just don't feel the need or desire. I no longer have it attached and its in a closet somewhere.

I don't need the added potential for some perv to be viewing my kid.

if its that important to Skype, than one should only seek those who have it

there are many other ways to 'verify' who someone is

the reverse, for me, is if its that important to Skype there is something a bit more shallow to their interest and I probably don't feel I'm missing out if they move on,,,

I also use sweetie and hon quite often, like others may say 'you know what I mean' or 'I was like,,,'

its just part of the vernacular where I was raised,,,I would adjust it if the other person made me aware that it bothered them

best efforts

if they were interested, they would have to overlook if I still slipped up on times,,,

Scammers will often try to lure you off of the website and onto Skype or a messenger service that is difficult to report TOS violations. It's best to get to know someone on the site first, then move forward. That way you can report them and they will be banned, making it more difficult fir them to find their next victim.

I totally agree  But I must say the same for the women, who i discover are scammers really dampen the spirit of meeting people. "Come on, you haven't even asked me for my name...and you want to marry me?" That's a turn off and a clear sign of shadiness!

Shame? Computers don't feel shame. Scammers aren't just people. By this point all internet users should be wary of spam scammers and phishers. Microsoft, apple, linux, Unix should allbe quite aware just as yahoo, Google, all social media, all dating sites all antivirus companies, all ISP's and all cell carriers. They are aware and they don't care. There's your problemgrumble

We flag, report, upgrade change service PAY MORE and get... what....? Slightly higher quality fakes.

You shouldn't be angry, you should be pissed. Pissed at who though? If we stop paying we lose everything but somehow somewhere hidden in an addendum to a subclause section superscript asterisked footnote citation of a hardcopy paragraph that only their lawyers have access to on Wednesdays between the hours of null and void, otherwise known as the EULA, these companies businesses and corporations with few exceptions just take our money and leave us with Photoshopped Fabio's and Vanna Whites. International monetary funds CEO of operations Henry Npwaze bless you on this fine day with wonderfulness good news of your funds to be ----- You all get where I'm coming from. The companies have to be getting paid by these people for the same thing to be going on for years and nothing gets done about it.

Without losing all the benefits that internet access can provide, how can we the end user (pronounced end loser) cut down on them amount of crap we have to deal with? It's obvious we can't eradicate it altogether because it's lucrative for too many large companies. mad

Sarcasm totally aside, ask yourself this.
Why are you here?
If you're not talking about yourself and your life you're fake.
If you talk aboit yourself you're sharing personal information

If you're sharing personal information you're putting yourself at risk.
If you're not giving out contact information how can you meet anyone ?

All of this technology was created to bring us (people) together but we have become so conditioned to 'the silicon buffer' (our online personalities/aliases) that we can't meet or keep in touch with new people without it. I'm not a kid, when I started dating the closest thing we had to texting was pagers and headlight semifore. If you didn't meet someone in person or couldn't easily see them you had to write a letter and pay for postage. I can't necessarily say that people didn't cover up who they really were to get what they wanted but you had a physical address. I would be willing to bet that domestic violence, assaults, restraining orders and divorces have grown more than our population has in the last ten years and that is saying a lot.

Totally agree - the best way to stop this is to let them dig their hole and then spring the trap -- report and block them !!!!

If we keep giving them lessons on how NOT to look shady we lose what little control we now have.

Wise up and sh** up .........flowerforyou
