In the modern dating world (OLD, Tinder, meetup groups & plain old bars & clubs) humans market themselves to be chosen just like the marketing in a supermarket. What's the newest/shiniest product?
But think about how people shop at the supermarket. Some just go for the same brands every time, some only shop when they are out of everything & some won't buy anything without a coupon. Same thing with dating: there's a choice of products & you feel like you can pick & choose. Except that there's a human on the other end of that choice (or rejection) & we will all face the experience of being "passed over" at one or another time in our lives. It hurts, & dating should be fun, not painful. I have to say it's too easy to "next" someone these days... |
