I am new and I noticed nearly every man that has e-mailed me, there are key words that everyone has mentioned that are all the same. How do you know if it is Africans scamming for photos or info? The next step everyone one so far is to get off line and want my Yahoo or to text them which the state they are in is not the area code? I know it happens to men as well. Could someone give some advice because I'm about to close it down.

Hi...Welcome to Mingle LOL!
They always have "military" as their profession, always list as "widowed", "Native American" & always have children. Yes definitely they always want to Yahoo messenger you or some other email. Their grammar & syntax is way off too. They use phrases like, "can't wait to read from you" & always start out with something like "hi beautiful or pretty lady" etc. I didn't know it when I signed on to this site, but it's an "international" site so it's easier for them to get on & fish for targets. Never send anyone any $, & also look at the location their profile lists...they don't match any known location in the U.S. I've (i'm from NY)gotten messgs. from people who "lived" in "Iceland, Nigeria" and "Paris, New York" LOL! They also don't actually read your profile (since English is not their strong suit), so they will never reference anything in it when sending that 1st message. I don't know how they get ahold of those photos of military guys too...that's another tipoff. Be smart & good luck in your search. |

Just report such people to this site's moderators. Then join the usual gang of idiots in the forums. [The label "usual gang of idiots" comes from MAD magazine.] |

Hey guys, I am actually new here, I really don't wanna fall into those wrong hands, so I would welcome some more hint about them....thanks friends Here is a hint: Unless your real name is Anabella Carrasco, change your profile image, or make it obvious that your profile image isn't really what you look like in person. |

Hahaha, right now I have unblocked one of them. So funny! Before he was a handsome white guy, talking all the things a woman likes to hear. Meanwhile he changed his profile totally. Now he pretends being a young man from India. Using a foto from a magazine, of an Asian lady. Some fake people have more lifes than a cat.

hello everyone. I joined a few days ago, and I am amazed at how popular I am. you see, I have had several marriage proposals from military men. I am pretty shocked at how quickly they have copied and pasted (sorry, I mean fallen for my womanly charms!)
I will see if any real local men come along , ones I wont have to ship across the borders for marriage. I think I prefer a chat and a coffee hahaah. btw I replied to my future husbands, all 3 of them, and they suddenly changed their pics, height, age and names. wow. I have still got it. keep running boys haha |

There's one right here trying to find out how we figured them out asking for more tips on what NOT to say! Dead give away! Look at the English Perfect example!!! lol, u r correct. i make up words and stuff, but no one has thought i was a scammer yet, on this site or the others. i'll right stuff like ur = your;or other little quirky ways to write the same thing differently. i'm also a caps bandit, or should i say a caps Ninja is following me. when i don't use spell check my stuff can look horrible, i admit. still my honesty & sincerity seems to be accepted by perfect strangers as the norm; and rightly so i must say. :) Scammers are easy to avoid or figure out if you have common sense, and aren't gullible. yET, WE HAVE A WHOLE WORD FULL OF GULLIBLE PEOPLE, especially in the U.S.A. lol. and everyone including americans seems to know it. the government knows it, politicians know it, banks & other financial institutions know it too. when sheep & bees are created; you will naturally have a large majority of them suffer from dumb arse syndrome ! |

And always remember that scammers are from all over the world...you may have heard Africa as the scanner locale,BUT,they are scattered all over the globe!!! Any one is a possible scanner, unless you know them from the forums...but,when one is smart, its easy to fish them out without giving them anything tangible. Good luck |
