That's pretty funny! The answer doesn't assume that the occupation is illegal. Some people would not want to date a truck driver or a flight attendant because they are never around. Some construction workers smell like the workplace (so do some nail care places!). An embalmer is kinda gross and freaky. Most doctors are ********. Farmers work all the time. Politicians are not really human are they? ... and so on. and I like this... |

hard to believe, but no human attracts what is not very similar to itself, most just don't want to sea all they are, because they only want to prove to them self the good they them self are, and deem any negatives about them self automatically not so, but all negatives they think of others as fact.

Depends on the job. If it's legal and they weren't gone more often than not, it probably wouldn't matter a whole lot.

i once thought of being a male dancer since she suggested it, since she was a female dancer and making killer money, and told me she loved me and i was her only one...
but then i woke up. and that was 22 years ago... when stupidity was wild in the world.... everything matters. to whom sea what matters. |

Does it matter what the opposite sex does for a living when you're dating them? Guys usually aren't shallow that way, as long as she's cute.. |

People define themselves too much by what they do for work. There's often way more to a person than what their job is.

Absolutely!
If my SO worked at say, a slaughterhouse, then I'd say... free steaks! :P |

I don't like broke, lazy, crazy, user, druggy men. Well you just knocked out about 74% of the men on Mingle. |

I would say it matters yes. Rather prefer someone working in a job/profession/career that adds and contributes in a positive way as opposed to taking away.

Does it matter what the opposite sex does for a living when you're dating them? Guys usually aren't shallow that way, as long as she's cute.. I disagree with this. Men are certainly shallow about what a woman does for a living. I know some men who would not date a woman that doesn't make as much, or is a cop, or is in the military. A woman's occupation certainly does matter to a man. Someone's occupation can certainly have an affect on your relationship as a few people on here have already pointed out. |

Does it matter what the opposite sex does for a living when you're dating them? To an extent, yes. I don't want to be with one who conflicts with my morals and values. |
