I didn't see it but I read the transcript.

the clear four goals

1.increasing border resources

2.to retain immigrants who are highly skilled, highly educated, or entrepreneurial (by removing their fear of immediate deportation)

3.prioritizing deportation in recognition that its not likely that we will be able to deport EVERY ILLEGAL immigrant so that criminals, felons and dangers to society will take the precedence in deportations as opposed to working immigrants, or children.

4. As well as allowing those who pay fines, have children, and no criminal record to receive a temporary stay.

The goals seem to be to address the illegal immigrant problems UP TILL NOW by prioritizing the issues. To try to retain productive and contributive immigrants by allowing them to get into the system without fear of immediate deportation but also without the benefit of citizenship or permanent residence.

Its kind of how the courts give some offenders probation but others get jail. Or how they allow some 'deals' for their participation so t hey can catch the 'bigger' fish.

pros:

getting congress to act on immigration

providing a bit more safety for immigrant children who now don't have to be afraid to seek assistance when they or their family is in danger

providing a focus on deporting criminals, and setting up a preliminary road for non criminals to be able to contribute to the economy

temporary increase in revenue through fines

cons:

retaliation against those who come out and are granted temporary stay

continued job competition and stagnation of wages that will have to compete with immigrants still able to use much less of the American dollars to do much more for their Mexican families still in mexico,,,

god i feel for these people who want a chance at something better...

i really really do.

but realistic outway even true good intentions.

but who can even begin to call these good intentions...

it's kinda like a single family, ya don't feed strangers until first ya can feed all your own family, then you share and do good for others less fortunate.

but elite greed economics doesn't work like that...

rather, each time the TOP wish to lower the amounts they have to pay others from the middle class on down, you let in a new group of immigrants...

poor desperate souls coming from places working for mere pennies compared to here...

who are willing to eagerly fill in lower paying jobs...

hence leaving the old faithfuls of the lower class that have been chuggin away uphill at 7-10-12 an hour, tired and worn out from not a whole lot of movement up the ole ladder for quite some years, who started DEMANDING higher wages...

but now, with but one leg to stand on, with all these new workers, a mere few pennies here and there be spread around to make it look good...

now all the middle classers at the same time got rung climbers comin out of degree's and willing to do a WHOLE LOT more work, for a whole lot less pay than the "old" higher middle class wages...

so the middle class pay sinks lower...

less being paid to all the "workers" across the board...

so, now all those OWNERS, but "employers" make it sound better to the psyche, are paying even less, so now even more profits...

how much...

record profits for near ALL fortune 500 company's...

their not just doing AWESOME, THEIR DOING RECORD BREAKING!

per forbes...

the most rich OWNERS, the employers of all these millions of people, by paying even less.

and that's just the wealth documented that couldn't be found in off shore hidden accounts somewhere.

so, the dust settles, and the bottom of the basket of humanity weighs tons and tons filled with all the poor with the middle class crammed in on top of them in the bucket, with all OWNERS, simply gliding around the rim of the bucket in million dollar cars and jet aero planes catching the trillions of dollars floating UP UP UP through the air...

a miserably sad state of affairs for the workers, and magically delicious for the elites of the giant monopoly game of real life.

so not much to be excited about for the the world, since we are the leaders.

as if the leaders of the free GOOD world do it like this, then the rest the world in poverty, well, is to totally fuccked triple times over to get even worse.

yeppers...

robin hoods the peoples will moan and cry for soon.

Didn't see it, don't care to read the transcript, don't believe anything that idiot has to say so why waste my time, could stare at a blade of grass and be more productive.

So from that standpoint, let's look at the talking points offered:

I didn't see it but I read the transcript.

the clear four goals

1.increasing border resources

Well here is a matter that is within the powers to be exercised by the executive, that is if within the scope of the law. But as to increasing border resources, what border resources? Is there going to be more people there to offer tickets to all that cross the border?

2.to retain immigrants who are highly skilled, highly educated, or entrepreneurial (by removing their fear of immediate deportation)

So just how are highly skilled, highly educated, or entrepreneurial immigrants that broke our law and entered this country under false or fraudulent pretenses any different from the unskilled, uneducated, bums any different, they still have no respect for our law. And what are these skilled and educated people going to do, compete with our skilled and educated people for the opening down at MickeyD's? Then they probably don't have the huge student loans our educated idiots seem to think is an ok way to start life, hugely in debt with not a prospect in heck of being able to do anything about it except to demand an increased minimum wage. But what the heck somebody needs to be a leech on the back of the taxpayer. How's that working out for the American taxpayer? Glad I don't belong to that class.

3.prioritizing deportation in recognition that its not likely that we will be able to deport EVERY ILLEGAL immigrant so that criminals, felons and dangers to society will take the precedence in deportations as opposed to working immigrants, or children.

Oh yes, let's legitimize the criminal activities with those criminals that are felons and dangers get deported so they can come right back across another border and let's let the lesser criminals hang around and collect entitlements so they can become good little liberals and eventually get to vote for even more entitlements.

How about that we reverse that order. Let's send all those that came across the closest border (yes any ocean will do) illegally with the notation that they are never in their lifetime eligible to be citizens as any other person from their nation is preferable over them. And to the criminals that transgress and do harm, that is why they made rope.

Oh and not to mention that this is beyond the scope of the powers of the executive as he is under oath (a joke unto itself) to "faithfully" (another joke) carry out the laws of this land. That is the job of the executive department, the execution.

4. As well as allowing those who pay fines, have children, and no criminal record to receive a temporary stay.

Another item that is beyond the powers. And that which the executive does that is in opposition to his powers are impeachable offenses as a violation of his oath. But will congress follow through, of course not because more than half of congress is in violation of their oaths, sort of like a little internal joke, a joke on those stupid enough to vote for them.

And the rest is just pure BS. There should be no fear of deportation, just plain old deportation. Just round them up, fingerprint and get DNA and if they can't pay their way home, take them to the closest boarder and turn them lose. By the way the closet border would be either the 3 mile or 12 mile limit on the ocean. Dang that could be a long swim for those caught in Maine.

Get congress to act on what? To add more useless statutes on top of those already being ignored?

And just as a little side note, the Constitution prohibits action: Article I, Section 9, Clause 3, to wit:

No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

Ex post facto, after the fact.

Bull, what BINGO? And get congress to act, on what a deportation plan, yes. As a justification for those criminals, no, congress should be deported right along with them.

This whole thing about some kind of amnesty is totally unfair in three ways. First, this country already has immigration laws. Second, to allow this country to be overrun by people that have no respect for our laws is unfair to the lawful citizens of this nation that are at this moment struggling to keep their heads above water. And lastly, to every immigrant that has followed the rules and has been waiting on a list for their opportunity, it would be a slap in the face because they want to immigrate legally and now would be deemed idiots for not just sneaking across the border.

And this problem is not just with this country, Europe is experiencing the same issues except their immigrants come from South of the Med. This is a phenomena being promoted by the elite as a means of destroyed the old economies and to put all on a poverty basis to be exploited at will. After all the unwashed masses don't know any better and are glad to welcome their brotherhood into slavery.

yep, all's true, but it's still only MOST about, SHOW ME THE MONEY!

and what it MOST be about, be the MOST driver of the BIG BIG ROLLIN MACHINE, so what makes the machine roll down the raod, so to change anything truly, one has to change the gasoline, the money system, not the poor old beaten to death data handed out to keep one but distracted from THE MONEY...

but time slows, as the cheerers cheer, and the wailers wail, and the wrench turners wrench, while all along, more money is turbo boosting all things to even more of the same.

some what comical if it wasn't such a dazzling frightful show.

smiles...

btw...

everybody'S out tonight...

nice to see and read ALL!

I already feel as though I struggle unfairly with
our system
Just for the record..I do not receive state benefits.

Just wondered what all my Smart friends thoughts were on this..

I'm unable to see the benefit of this decision..

it could be a matter of who you want to believe...

http://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/immigration
Congress has complete authority over immigration. Presidential power does not extend beyond refugee policy. Except for questions regarding aliens' constitutional rights, the courts have generally found the immigration issue as nonjusticiable.

But sir, I think your confusion may have to do with lawful and legal. Is it lawful for a country to legally restrict the travel of another human being upon this planet?

But what is at stake is humanity's reduction to a welfare state and the resultant immigration therein encapsulated.

presidents don't make laws,, including immigration law

they do however hold the power to apply reprieves concerning the law

and the agencies and departments under its authority as part of 'faithful execution',, are not MANDATED to prosecute anyone but always do have the discretional authority to determine who to prosecute or not,,,

Pro's.............. Ummmmm, not a one.

Con's Rewarding someone who violated several laws, taking jobs away from American Citizens who haven't committed any crimes, spending more tax money to print everything in duplicate English and Spanish along with having to hire translators, making our country adapt to our culture and not the other way around giving more power to Domestic Terrorist organizations like La Raza.
