I'd just like all of the women in this thread to understand that I am the man of their dreams. If I might seem a little shorter, not as blonde, a bit less buff, than you expected it's because the camera doesn't do you justice, it adds 50lbs and ten years I swear. But hey, I can do the Matt Damon stupid look, I can do the Brad Pitt I just slept with your sister look, I can do the Jake Gyllenhaal I think I might be autistic look, all of those looks you women love I can do them.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here My last relationship turned out horrible. She did not misrepresent herself. In fact, she said right off the start, that she was crazy. I shrugged that off, and said "naaaa". Well...she was in fact...crazy. My point is, I saw what I wanted to see. Not what was really there. I think we often do just that. We see what we want to see in someone. Then when we have to eventually see the truth, we are soooo disappointed, and make it the other person's fault. This, this and when it's done being "this", it's this some more. This is pretty much one of the contributing factors to every single break-up, no matter HOW long it took to get there.

I've been burned so many times by guys as im sure a lot of women have. Yes you need to date losers to figure out what u want, now I know what I want and it seems impossible to find. Am I the only one? I know what you mean. I figured out years ago that all the good ones are taken.

I've been burned so many times by guys as im sure a lot of women have. Yes you need to date losers to figure out what u want, now I know what I want and it seems impossible to find. Am I the only one? I know what you mean. I figured out years ago that all the good ones are taken. .. that's like going into a supermarket... and not wanting to pick through the apples... because you think all the good ones are taken..... it's all a matter of perspective.... and it is rare when you go to the produce section... and cannot find a good Apple..... to pick..

This is like saying "you have to stick your hand on a bunch of hot burners to figure out you want to be a painter." now I know what I want IME and IMO this is always a dangerous thing to believe. Simply because 99.999999999% of the time it usually means "I think I know what I want/need you to be, and feel righteous in judging you when you aren't, in order to make me happy." Personally, I think it's far more important, meaningful, and helpful to be aware of how you are responding and reacting to people and why than it is to know anything about "what you want." That usually doesn't lend itself to a trite platitude of "I know what I want!" Am I the only one? Sadly no. Daytime television is chock full of women who "know what they want."
