Topic: "MAMA'S BOY"???? | |
---|---|
Okay, I'm gonna stop you right there. I'm a mama's boy and proud of it. I'm 19 and live with my parents still. We come from a matriarchal home. My great grandmother is the head of the family. She only sees men as the ones who pay the bills and carries the shopping bags. Now, I love my mom, she loves me. The thing is, most girls get jealous over that, they want to be the only woman in "their" man's life. But if you've seen the old Wyatt Earp movie, you know that "Blood is family. All others are strangers. Wives may come and go. Blood is thicker then water." And all that Jazz. I say, if she can't get along with my family, I'm a part of that family and that means she's not getting along with me. Also, I see different levels of "Mama's boy-ism", if he's brushing her hair and she is not in a body-cast, that is too far, a 5 out of 5. I say I'm a 2 or 3 out of 5. |

Mamas boy... He could not stand on his decision or he could not even stand on his feet. He always run to her mom for the decision and advice. It is not bad if we ask for advice because sometimes we needed her also, but that not means in every time in every decision you run for her specially if speaking of "couple relationship problem". I think all woman could not stand on this kind of man.

Most women like strong men who aren't intimidated or easily influenced by other people..
And I cant consider a mama's boy a strong man, he often fulfil he's mother's wish even the most unreasonable one and thats where the problem starts when you are in a relationship with a mama's boy.. |

What Mikey mentioned, these moms are responsible for this, creating dependent sons and not able, nor willing, to let go of them.
I don't mind a man having a special bond with his mother. But she should be in the 'mom zone', not the 'partner zone', nor interfere with that. Peculiar thing is that when problems arise, the female partner will likely be accused of being jealous, while in actual fact it's the mother who's jealous. |

"Mama's boy" is actually a "Nice Guy", which means they are resentful, controlling, manipulative, and evil.

If you have a mother, love her. If you have a wife, love her the most. In-laws don't have any business in your business. Period. Your woman should come before ANYONE else. "And the two will become one flesh". Ever heard that? If you can't separate the two, you got no business having a relationship with any woman other than your mother.

What about Mama's girl that runs to her mother and always involves her mother in the relationship?

What about Mama's girl that runs to her mother and always involves her mother in the relationship? Now you're mixing things up ... Women talking to their girl friends or mother about relationship things is entirely different. It's a thing women do, it's part of the archetypal feminine and has nothing whatsoever to do with being a 'mama's girl'... Judging that is rather daft ... as it's judging the feminine for being what they are .. Men & women are wired differently .. I think if you'd want a comparison of what could be seen as unhealthy or immature behaviour (typical masculine thing to want a comparison by the way ... ) you'd have to address the "daddy's girl", if there is such a thing .. |

I'm really not sure what exactly IS a "mama's boy"? It seems everytime I hear it,it always sounds like it's something negative,we only have one real mother, and personally,I feel we're suppose to love her to death and at times pamper her ECT as well ,I'm thinking that's what you call a "mama's boy",(correct me if I'm wrong),I really don't quite understand the full meaning and why it's frowned upon in such way,I don't mean if you're a grown man and lives with your mom,but can you people help out with this one,I'm lost! Its a guy who never let go of his Mama. Supported by a Mama who loves control. A woman does not want a Mama's boy, guys don't want to be around Mama's boy's,, fathers won't admit that their son is a Mama's boy.. Hey.. Mama's won't even admit it Nobody likes a Mama's boy But there are good at running errands. |
