is there a way to go back in a thread and delete previous posts?

Only during your edit time. Which, I dunno how much time that is. Will still be a blank post by backspacing the characters.
Or you mark/report the post and ship a message to a mod requesting deletion... |

You can, I think, edit your posts only during the session you're currently in. Once you log out of a session, and you sign in again you cannot edit a post from a previous session. Atleast, that's been my experience.

I think you can EDIT for an Hour after posting,but if someone quotes you,that Post will still include the original post,even if you totally edit yours!
