In recent developments on January 28, a JP Morgan Chase Vice President in the U.K., Gabriel Magee, was found dead on a 9th level rooftop of the banks 33-story story open headquarters building in the Canary Wharf section of London.
On February 10, Ryan Henry Crane, 37, another senior JPMorgan Chase executive died under mysterious circumstances, Crane was responsible for JPMorgans global program trading.
Cranes death comes after a rash of suicides over a period of 6 days weeks involving three prominent bankers including JPMs Gabriel Magee, former Federal Reserve economist Mike Dueker and William Broeksmit, a former senior manager for Deutsche Bank, who was found hanging in his home, also an apparent suicide/murder. Broeksmit was, according to reports, connected to the process of rigging of foreign exchange markets.

Citigroup Opens First U.S. Bank Branch in Iraq

Citigroup will be the first US bank to open in Iraq after it announced Monday it had received preliminary approval by the Central Bank of Iraq to establish an office there, according to media reports.

The branch office is to open in Baghdad.

Citigroup, the third-largest US lender, has been serving its Iraqi clients through its office in Amman, Jordan. It will join 15 other international banks physically operating in Iraq, according to the Central Bank of Iraq's website.

"Iraq is an important market, with an economy that has substantial potential over time," James Cowles, Citigroup's chief executive officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, was quoted as sayinb by Bloomberg news agency.

"Having a presence in Iraq will position us to better attune our services to the banking needs of our clients as they grow and develop their businesses in the country."

Foreign banks were banned in Iraq until after the regime of Saddam Hussein was driven out by the US-led war there.

Citigroup said branch openings are also planned for Erbil and Basra, two of the largest cities in Iraq.

What it really is

Despite presenting itself as a source of scholarly analysis, Globalresearch mostly consists of polemics many of which accept (and use) conspiracy theories, pseudoscience and propaganda. The prevalent conspiracist strand relates to global power-elites (primarily governments and corporations) and their New World Order.[1] Specific featured conspiracy theories include those addressing 9/11,[2] vaccines,[3] genetic modification,[4] Zionism,[5][6] HAARP,[7] global warming,[8][9] Bosnian genocide denialism[10] and David Kelly.[11]
