I understand there are BB codes etc to use when posting pics from websites into the forums. What about posting or uploading pics from my computer into the forums. I'm not talking about my profile. I'm asking about posting pics into forums from my computer.

Images are simple.
You place the link between Image tags thusly:
[*IMG]http addy here[*/IMG] WITHOUT the asterisks
of course.

Most peeps use the FREE http://www.photobucket.com as a host for their
pictures with the added benefit of, they supply
you with the code above for the image you select.

YouTube videos can be listed through links thusly:
[*URL]http link here[*/URL] WITHOUT the asterisks.

All you really have to remember is, Images use the IMG tag and Videos use the page address URL
of the site.

ty Datwasntme. the pics I'm referring to are Not on a website. they are on my computer. I really dont want to start a photobucket or other image hosting website account.

The only way to post pics from your computer onto the forums is by uploading them first to sites like Photobucket.

ty for info everyone. I have a Pinterest account which is basically an image hosting type account. wonder if I can use BB codes from their? guess I can test some things from there.

are we permitted to post videos in forums? do the codes work in forums for videos? just in case I see something funny I'd like to share with others.

If Pinterest hosts images, you are all set.
You would merely place the Pinterest URL between
the Image tags thusly:
[*IMG]http link goes here[*/IMG] WITHOUT the asterisks of course.

You can place a video on your profile, as shown above.
You can link to them on the forums.
