I think it's pretty natural! According to the preacher at church when I was 16, he said the top three things that occupy a man's mind is- 1. Sex 2. Money 3. Work He said, in that order lol and that he was no different.. Just because you talk about it, doesn't mean you are going to do it. Who knows, it could just be a defense mechanism that is holding the poor guy back, maybe talk about it and get it out-of-the-way, who knows it could be a diamond in the rough. 
And your preacher was full of crap. People think about the things most when they hold dear to them, so what your preacher was saying here is Sex, Money, and Work are the things he holds to be the most important to him. I would seriously suggest fining another preacher and or possibly church. ESPECIALLY since God wasn't on the top of that list. I think he was just more in touch with reality than you are brother. You can be honest and just say that you think he is full of crap because he did not hold the same perspective that you do. Anyway, he just passed away and was one of the better human beings I have ever met. He also used to say that it was important in a relationship that the couple designate one day to have sex no matter what. And that even if you have sex any other times during the week, it is still important to have sex on your designated day. He claimed that his and his wife's designated day was Sunday believe it or not. And he also said, that does not mean that you cannot do it more than once in a day ha ha Only if sex is that important to you. And designating a day for it, would make it feel more of an appointment and not necessarily spontaneous. Would loose it's passion that way when it's already premeditated to happen ahead of time. And what if one of the two aren't in the mood on the "designated" day? |

You do not see many failed marriages due to the fact that they were having sex on a regular basis, however you do see failed marriages because they weren't having sex on a regular basis. Not exactly sure what you are trying to argue here, however it is rather cute
