Topic: asking a girl from work out. | |
---|---|
I am begining to get pretty fond of a girl that works with me. She's a very nice, and soft spoken person, and I think that's why I like her. I'm thinking about asking her out for a date, but i'm not sure how to approach her. It's not that i'm worried about her reaction because she's a lesbian, I just don't know what to say lol.A friend of hers that also works with me is trying very hard to hook us up. I'm thinking about dropping by to see her, and I'll possibly ask her sometime this week. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I always try to stay away from mixing my personal life w/ my work life.....JMO

Sometimes dating people we work with- can get messy.
If you want to though- just ask her out. Better asking from you- than a friend setting it up... Good luck! |

Lol @ kojack! I probably should keep it casual.
FreshMountainAir: Work is really the only place that i can meet other people other than school. Where I go to school, there's really not that many options... |

Just be honest and be yourself and yeah what Kojak said

I dipped my pen into the ink well at work a few times, don't think I will ever do that again.

I did it once in the early 80s.....
.......DISASTER!!!!!!! Never eat and s**t in the same place ![]() |

I don't have many places to meet people either but I would never consider dating someone from work. What happens if it doesn't work out!!

Just try "hey, I think you're pretty cool, wanna hang out sometime?" Since you do work with her try just starting off as friends and see where it leads. heck, if it turns into a pretty good deal great. I agree that its kinda sticky to date coworkers, but you don't choose when and where you develop feelings for someone.

We have an anti-fraternization policy at work now. I have seen it be very difficult for people to work together after being in a relationship and it not working out. Usually one ends leaving.

Where I work, they don't have a rule against dating outside of work since I work at a grocery store, and there's going to be alot of young people. As long as you don't have PDA's (public displays of affection) while on the clock, they really can't do anything about it.

I refuse to date anyone from work...that gets to messy. If you do date and it ends it is nothing but drama. I prefer meeting someone away from work...besides, who wants to mix work with pleasure??

She doesn't seem like the drama-bringer type.

Just remember that when it ends...you will have to deal with that person. I don't know how close you are to her at work but if you fight with her at work you could lose your job. Just go out like Jamie says as friends and then take it from there.

I would *hope* that both she and I would have the dignity to not fight at work...I don't think anything like that would happen. If I would get mad at her, then I would just avoid her as much as possible.

just be yourself and ask her if she would like to hang out together sometime
good luck |
