As long as your paying child support, a judge will give you part custody.Go to the court house they will tell you what you need to do.

There's a reason she lives with her grandmother instead of with you. If you want your daughter back, you're going to have to prove to everyone around you, that you're well enough, even sane enough, to have her in your house. You can't just go lying. As the proof will be in your hands. Is there something you're not telling us? As you don't mention WHY your daughter was took off you. Which needs to be addressed.

Actually child support and visitation rights are two different things. Just because one is order to pay child support does not give them rights to visitation.

If it has been ordered by the courts for one to see their kids then they have that right. If no orders have been filed by the courts then there is no rights until it is done.

If one truly wants to see their kids they must go through the courts to in fact get that right.

Fathers need their children too

As a divorced dad, I am continuing to struggle with a fact that so many people refuse to accept – that fathers play a unique and an irreplaceable role in their children’s lives. Despite the studies and research data available, there are those that believe fathers are replaceable—that father’s simply fulfill a role that any other man or even a woman can fulfill. If this were true, cocky deadbeat men would just sow their wild oats and simply walk out of their marriages!

Over the years, I have also been confronted by many, who believe that another man can replace a child’s father, and the resulting conclusion a majority have reached, for me, is that dads are dispensable.

You would have to prove you are capable of taking care of her. All aspects

To Shy_Emo_chick.
some times the man breaks up with the mother and she can't handel it.
She takes revenge by keeping the child away from the father.
So don't judge before you know the story.

Sorry for my bad English i am from Holland

100% correct, i worked for the welfare dept for quite some time. child support, paying it or not is completely separate. a person can get total visitation rights with or without paying for them. your visitation rights need to be filed in family court.

If you are not under a restraining order and you did not relinquished your visitation rights when the grandmother was granted custody, hire an attorney...Many issues, like back child support, can be worked out through the courts....Separating children from their parents, severing that relationship, is the last thing the courts want to do...Typically it is only done when there is substantial proof that the parent in question poses a physical or psychological threat to the child..
