I lost contact with a person who I considered a friend ... With deletions and time how would you go about finding them again?

If you know their name, you can try Facebook? Do you have their personal info, like email, name, etc.?

If you know what city they're from there's all kind of internet phone book searches. Otherwise, yeah facebook, linkedin, all those sorts of sites.
