I demand respectful behaviour, as I give it. the rest is up for discussion but I have a buncha preferences....no smoking, no taking my picture on the date, able to have conversation, etc. Maybe it's just that I have taken this particular topic a little different then it's ment. Do you "demand" the respectful behavior? Or do you just date the one's that have a respectful behavior? Do you "demand" no smoking? Or do you just date those that don't smoke? Demanding such and such means you've actually told the person not to, not asked them not to, but actually told them not to. to ask for with proper authority; claim as a right I think 'demandment' is a made up word tho, so I reckon you can interpret it loosely. I think of it as MY rule of thumb, not something I say to anyone out loud. to answer: in my view, I wont intentionally date those who do not hold the same demandment. its reciprocal. I dont want to date someone who breaks my demandment, but wont know until I do date them, so its a learning process, as it should be. Oh, and I prefer 'no smoking' not demand. Oh ok, I gotchya. lol Just when I think of "demandment" it's more of a verbal statement lol. Those are more of expectations, or possibly personal guidelines if you will. |

Do You Have A List Of demands That Must be Met.. Before You Consider Dating Them??? Absolutely! 1) He HAS to appeal to my curiosity. 2) He HAS to have the right approach. 3) He HAS to leave HIS list of demandments at home for when we're alone. 
Anything else is on a "need to know" basis...

Apart from the obvious (interest, attraction etc) I don't date guys that aren't taller than me.
Last date was 3 cm (just over an inch) taller. When we met, he just stood there like a lemon, no greeting, introduction, nothing. Just stared at me like a total idiot then he uttered "oh, you are really tall!" That was it, he just stood there, looking at me. I had the good manners to introduce myself, we went for a cup of coffee, but it was hopeless. Couldn't keep a conversation going and after some 45 mins I'd had it and went home. Worst date ever! My profile clearly states I'm 1.78 m (5'9"), not even all that tall, but I guess he expected a shortcake. There are plenty of men - slightly shorter than me - that say "I don't care about height", well sorry, I do, and certainly after that last experience! * So he has to be more than 1 inch taller * And I don't date non-white / non - westerner Got in a conversation online with a guy from Iran (at first I thought he was Italian), he'd been in Holland for over 20 years and he claimed to be more Dutch than Iranian. I found out just how much 2 days later, after I'd gone online, not said anything to him (why should I? I'm not obliged to start talking to every guy I've had a brief chat with each time I go online, am I?) The message he sent me was absolutely appalling! I don't even know how it translates into English, but something no decent guy would ever say to a woman. So incredibly rude, I couldn't believe it! So much for being Dutch. I reported him, his account got deleted within half an hour, so admins agreed his behaviour was totally out of line. That was me giving it a shot with a non-white / non westerner. Not going there again. Shame, cos I am always attracted to dark men, many Middle-Eastern men are very attractive. But the cultural differences, the way they treat women ... not going there! |
