Bestow Upon Us Our Due Freedoms


Bestow upon us our due freedoms and the will to share with others the wealth of our births,
As freedom exists as more than a word so widely aired,

A follow up on the placement and magnitude of, "Loathing and Despair".

"Freedom", you bend me, you take me to higher heights, you steal me away from
Makeshift, cold, enclosed dwelling places, the lesser of my mind's sights,

These adamant dwellings bound in nights of glory, found in ancient tombs, buried there,
For all to share,

You show me the worth found in so very many faces, left hardened and bewildered,

Where in the ancient forests do ye now hide, O' Freedoms? Like so many other forces left in the
Denial of your birth, so very much to lose there!

So very much - denied us.

Here in the old, leveled wilderness upon which I so endlessly dwell, you are welcome, O' Freedoms,
My glorious new found friends . . .

Steal us away from the calloused loathing, found up the road, there at the bend.

Oh yes, "Freedom." May the
Loathing and Despair end,
May new found Freedom
be born.

Loathing and Despair needs
to be on the shelf to collect dust
with the books seldom read.

Too many faces harden and bewildered
denied the life they long for.

I say, write Tommy, write, shape those
words for all to hear and rejoice in.

Freedom is indeed timeless...
