Topic: I need Advice from the Masses | |
---|---|
Okay, so I work in Sales and I've been at my job for about 3 months.
I'm one of the few employees that comes in on time everyday. I don't screw around or steal from the company. I'm also willing to do pretty much whatever my bosses ask of me to make the office run smoothly. I regularly work 6 days a week because they "need" me. So today I get sent home early because I "f&$% around too much". I asked for some clarification and my supervisor (the General Mananger) told me that he had a shift to run and he wasn't going to argue with me and to just come in tomarrow "bright eyed and ready to really work". I am so pissed...I just want to quit and tell them where they can stick this job. So what would you do? Should I go in and talk to my boss? Do I just let it go? HELP! |

just let it go he's only doing his job and also if you were screwing
around to much thne thats bad for business you see costumers dont want to see you joking around or acting like teenagers ok but just let it go dont get upset hes only doing it cuz he wants business to pick up ok just be lucky ur not fired for it ok just go in tommrow acting diffrent but if you quit you always quit form ajob thats tells you to go home he probly saw you doing something aganist policys thats why |

I would go in and talk to my boss. Hummm had that happen to me once
matter of fact and I did just that only I had been working there for almost a year but so had the one above me needless to say after my talk my boss told me to go home and come in the next day and he would take care of the problem. Funny went in the next day and the guy I had a problem with was no longer working there for my boss knew that he was lying and took my word over his. Not saying it would happen with someone else but I bet its not the first time your supervisor has done that. But now that is what I would do for there is no way I could go back with out voicing my thoughts lol |

HELL YEA!
I agree with hosstin18. I have been a Manager pretty much my entire adult life. Just remember that it is RARELY personal; it's just business. I think you are mainly pissed because of the lack of clarification on your General Manager's part. I know that is the reason that I would be pissed. The GM showed a very poor professional attitute by just "sweeping you under the carpet" like that. The key to a great manager is COMMUNICATION. And I know what I am talking about. Play by his/her rules for now. Tomorrow is another day. Go in with a smile and act like nothing happened. |

i'd still talk to them about the situation, your boss may have just been
in a bad mood but whatever it is it doesn't sound like you deserved it. |

I'm with Txs & King...talk to the GM and see what is up..never hurts to
talk to the person, and I know you already know this, but be all polite and stuff no mater how mad or upset you are. |

If he wants to beat around the bush and not tell you why kind of do the
reverse psych bit, Go in and talk to him and say, I apologize if you feel I am not doing my job up to your standards can you please let me know what I can do differently so you feel I am doing my job to standards. That way you are actually finding out why he said that in the first place lol |

Depends on how long he's been there? If longer than you? I would be
nice and normal on the job but I would be looking for another? Because it sounds like a watch-eye on you now and I would just be waiting until another assult and already have another job planned out? If he's new you both just might need to feel each other out more? In this life everybody has to be humble to their boss. But if humble still gets you into an issue? Then he is over-stepping his power or feels his wife could use YOUR job,LOL? Just get a good night's sleep and brave-it on in to work like nothing happened? |
