For me contentment is a state of mind that always wins in spite of the bumps in the road...Life happens and when it does it's not always pleasant...Illness, accidents, death, loss of income, so many things that can temporarily steal my serenity...Thing is, I understand I will always find the path back to happiness and satisfaction with my life as it is today...I know I am where I am supposed to be....

Contented for me is being comfortable in my own skin and not feeling like I have to escape some where. Everything is just like it is supposed to be at this present time and people I meet along the way can be friends that I just haven't met, yet.

Humm for me it is being comfortable with where I'm in life and the person I have become... Even though it is always nice to be a better person. One must be happy with whom they are first...

Content.

Having 2 days off in a row and knowing you can drink then sleep in

Waking up and not having anything to worry about

you are automatically contented.

If you mean on your own then I'm always contented with a nice cup of tea.
If you mean with a partner then for me it's when that awkward silence is no longer awkward.

For me it's a full belly, a warm dry bed, and a clean place to take a dump.
