Topic: if you won the lottery. ... | |

Never really been a big fan of money, but seeing as it's just a fantasy, I'd buy my mum stuff to redecorate her house with, as I know she's been wanting to redecorate for ages, but can't afford it. I'd leave a couple of million in my will for my sisters, just incase they end up in worser povery by the time I die. I worry about them, because it's hard to get a job now. Would definitely move house, because it's too noisy here. I'd want a home where you can wake up to the sound of birds chirping, instead of car horns and crying kids. My old house was in a lovely quiet peaceful road, where you heard a wood pigeon cuckoo each morning. And then we had to move to a bigger, worser place
. Not very nice, waking to the sound of drills or hammering every morning. And it's not good for mental well-being. . |

Abandon everything I know and start over in some place where people or electronics can't find me.
Bond with nature, live simply, away from noise. |

I would take my son to every museum, zoo, national park around the world for a hands on learning experience only a child with hands on needs for an education agenda of a lifetime. For inspiration, creativity, theater and experiencing something you can not get from a book.

Pay off all my bills, my parents remaining mortgage and help out my close friends.
Then I would travel the world starting by going across Canada up to Alaska, the sailing over to Russia and backpack through Asia and Europe before going home and buying a house. |

If you won the lottery what is the first thing you would do? If I won the lottery, perhaps not the first thing but I would build affordable housing in small communities for folks to live, where folks had to work together for the betterment of the community and raising families. We need to get back to basics. Working together for a better tomorrow. |

op as others ..give some to family & passably friends...
buy a house closer to my only child an grand daughter ... and give some to a particular charity... but you have to play to win lol and I don't ... |

First I'd give thanks to God by taking out my tithes and offering first! Then I would pay off my dad's house. Pay for my kids education and all our bills. I'd cancel the child support debt my ex owes. Go back to school and get my degree in HIT. Work in a hospital and own my own business so that I could help other single parents take care of their family with a decent salary. amaria90, you forgot to add "Pay for Dodo_David to come visit." Dodo, sorry dear... of course I would pay for you to come visit. I would invite all my Mingle friends to a huge celebratory party at my new humble abode. |

I'd buy my town, declare myself king, then build a race track and the most badassed garage you've ever seen.

First, I'd stop talking to you losers
Disown my family Move somewhere nice and warm Maybe hire me a local gal to cook, clean and..... Oh, was that out loud. What I meant to say, of course, is...I'd help my family and friends...share with those I've become close to on Mingle...give to charity...spend my life helping others No joking, definitely pay off Mom and Dad's mortgage, buy my stepson a place wherever he wanted, move to Kentucky, get some lab space at the University of Kentucky for my research (they don't need to pay me, I'm rich) and buy myself one beautiful bigazz pickup truck with all the bells and whistles. |

Pass out. I never win.

Me? Oh, I'm a man of simple tastes. I'd probably go ahead and build the garage I've been saving up to build, and fix up that old pickup out in the barn. After that, well, I'd do some visiting: fly out to finally meet Ruth, visit a few old friends that live halfway across the country, mark the last three states off of my list (Alaska, Hawaii, and Louisiana).
I figure all of that will cost about $50,000 or so. After that, well, I'd just start giving it away to folks I felt needed it. |

|
I would invest it

I would help my family but it will be through a lawyer because I don't want them to know I am rich
Travel and help people Set up a trust for my kids after buying their homes and put them in the trust so if they split up with someone is doesn't have to be halved. Have a huge mingle party |
