I often walk along the riverside into Newcastle. My City has a
lot of bridges. Beautiful bridges which are sometime used for the wrong type of crossing. I came across Adie's flowers and a little sad note from her family, which were tied to the railings. I decided to write a "Ballad to Adie" and add it to the families sentiments. I hope they don't mind. I am typing it here just as I noted it down as I sat by the river, with no corrections. Adie I'm sure will understand. A Ballad for Adie As I walked this riverside pathway Adie, yes the one that goes down to the sea. I stopped and read of your sadness and of the sorrow your family felt, Adie. I'm sure you still feel the hurt of life Adie, and the pain that you went through, but grace is always given to those that stumble and lose their way, Adie. So cheer up little Adie, and when you're ready to have another go, like these flowers that are wilted now; stand up straight, bloom again, and sing it out loud, Adie. No I never knew Adie but now perhaps she knows me. Raps Lit & phil |

Thank you. I'm glad you think what I did was right.
I just wanted to mark her passing and sadly there are a lot more I could write for along that lovely river Riley |
