if you are here complaining that nobody loves you, please open your eyes and see how many good people are showing love to you.

if you are here because you want to find your love, please open your heart, don't be mean and stubborn. that email that you read and did not answer might be the person of your life.

if you feel bored stand up and find something to do with your time, and stop complaining. if not enjoy the forums without complaining.

if you have a friend who is talking to and is being nice with you in particular, don't close the possibility. don't be anal with him or her.

don't try to be what you aren't, i've seen too many profiles saying: "I'm opinionated, I'm outspoken, if you don't like get the hell out." where the heck are you going with such a profile.

mostly if you are in a dating site and you are not going to answer any of the emails that you receive even though they are polite and respectful, and they are just offering friendship then go to a convent. you are going to be single your whole life.

plus what do you pretend showing half naked pictures of yourself. there are plenty of those sites in the internet

I gave up on even trying to talk to any of the local people on here, when it became obvious they simply were never going to reply to e-mails.

But people who are farther away e-mail me here all the time, so at least I have made some friends, and people to talk with!

My policy has always been: if they take the time to write, they deserve a reply. Period. Only exceptions are stalkers, trolls, and nutjobs, and I don't get very many of those here....

just pointing out some inconsistencies in people's reasonings

i mean it's pretty obvious when somebody it's a perv or a scammer. those are the exemptions.
but if we are smart enough we can distinguish between those and real people

I have to agree with Lex, the closer people are to you the less likely they are to respond. That's been my experience too. Distance is safe.

I think a lot of people are in love with the dream, but scared to death of the reality.

Hi everyone. Good evening. I've seen some of this too. Today seemed to be "vent day for personal problems" and "vent day for dirty laundry with other jhs users." I really don't think mike intended for the threads to be used for vengeance or dirty laundry. Todays actions of the good, the bad, and the indifferent took the fun out of it.

Another one I like is when a woman posts something like "Why can't I find a decent guy?" but if a decent guy tries to initiate a conversation, she ignores him. Make up your damn mind already.

I'm sure it works the other way around, too; I just don't really notice it as much. As far as I'm concerned, a "decent woman" is anyone who lives 897,000 miles away or more.
