It always has been my dream: travelling around the world with no roots.
Am I dreaming too much or is there a way a person can really live like this? I've born in a poor family, I am still poor so I never had the chance to see the world. |

I have seen a lot of it.
Thing is, it really makes you appreciate home :-) |

Yes you can easily do it if you are willing to go without most basic things like; regular hot showers, regular meals, a regular warm place to sleep, a decent place to go to the bathroom.
You also have to be willing and very able to mooch off of friends and strangers, willing to put yourself into some very dicey situations, fairly able to defend yourself if necessary, able to put up with being hassled by unfriendly police and other local officials, and you have to be very very very aware of what situations to stay out of and how to get out situations you weren't aware you were getting into. |

I have traveled extensively around the world, but with so much more to see and do, plus I have been on 12 cruises so far and still want more. It is all good, but I find you have to have a home base to go to and relax, do things there with your friends and family and plan for your next trip.
It is always good to be home. |

Thanks for your answers :)
Well maybe I haven't give much details but I wasn't speaking of course to be a homeless. The best would be having a job that let you travel a lot or maybe do volunteer or something like this. Family well, thy are always at their place so my base could be there; friends since I have no important ones here could always organize travel team sharing the same passions. Since we young ones are living an hard time in our country about job I'm thinking to do an au pair experience as soon as a project I'm attending ends. |

If you are thinking of doing the au pair thing, make sure you check
references very carefully. There's a lot of fake au pair type jobs out there where they keep your passport and you basically end up in slavery. Jobs in the airlines or travel agent field offer a lot of opportunities for travel. Also there are several engineering/technical type fields where you can work abroad a lot. |
