Aspiring TV producer mistakenly killed by deputies in West Hollywood The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department acknowledged Thursday that its deputies mistakenly shot and killed a aspiring TV producer they thought was a stabbing suspect. In fact, John Winkler, 30, had gone to a neighbor's apartment Monday night on Palm Avenue in West Hollywood where a man was holding people hostage and tried to help. Winkler was shot when he rushed out of the apartment with another victim who had been trapped inside the apartment with a third victim and the suspect, sheriff's officials said in a statement. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-sheriff-admits-mistakenly-killing-tv-producer-in-west-hollywood-20140410,0,1972682.story |

A woman who lives directly below, who did not want to be named, said she heard a commotion Monday night. She heard voices shouting, Get down! Get down! and several popping noises. Then she heard a man scream. It was a primal scream, the woman said. It was fear, it was absolutely horrible. ================================ Yeah.... the devil did it Geez buddy, enough of the religious innuendo already. Isn't an out of control police state enough? |

I've noticed that a lot of your links post some sort of hash tag after the URL. They always fail but if one eliminates the tag, it works fine. Just thought you would like to know.

It's caused by my encryption.... that Heartbleed hopefully hasn't cracked! I try when I can to eliminate it from the links, but it doesn't always work. My encryption and firewall is 3 tiered, so it eliminates a lot of the redirection and vulnerability related to the links. |

Yeah.... the devil did it Geez buddy, enough of the religious innuendo already. Isn't an out of control police state enough? Here is an interesting view of the whole scenario, a grab profile for the guns, no not the police, the public. Victim John Winkler shot dead And if you read the comments, it goes downhill fast and one would think with the article that couldn't happen. |

"The cop who mercilessly doused peaceful, seated protesters with pepper spray recently claimed he has psychological injuries from the incident and demanded workman's compensation. And California is granting it to him. The University of California, Davis - a tax funded college - will pay the fired assailant $38,056 to ease his emotional suffering." http://humansarefree.com/2014/04/the-cop-who-pepper-sprayed-peaceful.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+HumansAreFree+%28Humans+Are+Free%29&utm_content=FaceBook Ahhhhh..... the poor soul. He suffered so badly spraying these seated, peaceful, protestors. Doesn't he look stressed to you? Must be hard packin that donut belly to a peaceful protest and wielding a heavy can of pepper-spray! |

But what all of this goes to prove is just how gullible the "public" at large can be. First, why do the people just stand by and watch this whole show with no obvious alarm. Second, why was there no outcry of any consequence at the action. A little whining and crying but no consequence. Third, and then the perpetrator gets compensated for his unconstitutional act and again no action of any consequence. And lastly, the taxpayer are soaked for the costs and gladly walk up and pay their bills. I wonder what message would be received if the entire population of the county where UC Davis is located refused to pay their tax bills until any and all parties to this fiasco are jailed and lose their property to compensate for damages? |

You should start facing the fact than many of you reading this will be shot (at) by someone who's salary you paid.
Now you all know, a la the movie Stalag 17, to dress your hostage like yourself and throw them out the door in front of the swat~ters. Just ONE question though? If they mistook Winkler for the assailant, why is the other hostage the recipient of a bullet? |

Just ONE question though? If they mistook Winkler for the assailant, why is the other hostage the recipient of a bullet? I think one of the quotes stated in the Daily Kos article posted earlier had a fairly decent explanation of the whole affair. I think the rationale may be to get out ahead of potential resistance, but it ends up escalating and causing more resistance and mistakes instead. And I have the impression that many of the current officers have been purposely scared by oft-repeated stories of officers injured & killed, so they overreact in (fairly reasonable)fear of missing something that's life-or-death important. There's also the issue of core competency. You have to drill & practice and keep up skills, including judgement. That's an awful lot of work that cuts into your day for dilettantes who want the respect, paycheck and glory, but are not willing to ante up the work and discipline it requires. And some of them just aren't going to be good enough no matter how much training or practice they get. They seem to have completely abandoned hand-to-hand and unarmed combat training. Maybe because too many of their recruits just aren't good enough to do it well. ::sigh:: Information is abundant, wisdom is scarce. ~The Druid. ~Ideals aren't goals, they're navigation aids.~ by FarWestGirl on Thu Apr 10, 2014 at 09:20:01 PM PDT |

Yeah, it's like struggling through an NBC or CNN presentation, but you never know just what little jewel that may pop up that may lead to the truth. Like the Daily KOS thing, not really the article but one of the comments left there. |

John Winkler, 30, was killed on Monday, April 7, after being mistakenly identified as a crime suspect. Yeah.... the devil did it Geez buddy, enough of the religious innuendo already. Isn't an out of control police state enough? Here is an interesting view of the whole scenario, a grab profile for the guns, no not the police, the public. Victim John Winkler shot dead And if you read the comments, it goes downhill fast and one would think with the article that couldn't happen. The Daily Kos... haha... The World Socialist website wasn't available in your republic? Had to go with the communist lite version of the story? Yeah, it has to do with that education thing, you know, keeping an open mind so as to incorporate new knowledge. There are so many bigoted idiots in this world that just choose to remain stupid because they refuse to learn. It is those people that tyrants choose to incorporate into their little web of indoctrination because they are so easy. Sound familiar? These indoctrinated idiots will believe every word delivered by CNN, NBC and FOX as gospel. However the Daily KOS just mystifies them, they don't have the critical thinking skills to truly interrupt CNN, NBC, or FOX, much less Daily KOS or any other liberal or radial trash. So they use their idiocy and use ad hominem attacks of of the sources because they lack the critical thinking skills to attack the actual content of the source. But as to Winkler, let's ask the Kremlin, LA County Sheriff’s Dept. fatally shoots aspiring TV producer helping hostages After shooting the pair, the deputies heard commotion in the apartment. They found the suspect, Alexander McDonald, choking another victim and "tearing at his face," officials said. McDonald, 27, was apprehended and has been charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count of torture. The third victim had stab wounds to the leg, arms, and chest, but has been released from the hospital. McDonald had held two victims hostage when Winkler, according to a friend, heard commotion in the apartment and rushed over. "It's just a really sad story," Devin Richardson said. "He basically went to help some neighbors and ends up getting shot." Richardson added that Winkler was friends with the two victims. No charges against the deputies have been announced. The LASD says an internal investigation of the incident has begun. Interim Sheriff John Scott on Thursday called the shooting "very tragic." Yeah, just as I thought. they just had to put that communist twist on things, wait a minute, they didn't side with the government and seems to have posted everything that was known faithfully and in the comments even allowed the people to be critical of government, imagine that, what will the idiots have to complain about now? |
