Work on yourself, personal growth, so you become truly happy and discover and feel that we're all one. If you're truly happy and positive, you will automatically make other people feel better, maybe encourage them to work on themselves, or do things, that make them happier as well. When we all live from the heart (a lot more) as opposed to from the head and ego-driven, the world would be a much better, healthier and nicer place. So many people are unhappy, get burn-outs or depressed because more and more ppl sense that the way things are now sux. Esp young ppl and children are fed up with everything, don't have any motivation to do anything. Anway, personal growth is what I've been working on for years. Apart from that, I do what I can to pollute the environment as little as possible, so separate waste (plastic, green & garden stuff, bottle bank etc.) And I that try to grow things in my garden that help nature, flowers that will feed butterflies, bees, bumble-bees, frogs and so on. All this is basically Love, which is what it comes down to if we want to make this planet a better place. |

I find it worrying, if someone is more obssessed with someone else's life, instead of their own.
We should be spending a little extra time with family members, as we don't know when they'll be gone. Just an observation I thought about, when visiting hospital. It does that to you. The sudden realization that you're in a humble place. |

How about we treat others with love, acceptance and tolerance?
Practice random acts of kindness. Share what we value. Offer cautious trust first, and if it is breached, love ourselves enough to move on. Love with abandon, by never abandoning ourselves to love. Smile first. Respect more - especially those who are hardest to respect for they are hurting the most. Celebrate each other and breathe. I saw a beautiful quote the other day, "Peace and calm are the closest we can get to perfection. Isn't it lovely that they are both choices?" It was painted on the side of a building - what an incredible gift for all who pass by!!! |

You are 1 person among 7 billion people, on one planet of 8 in a solar sysem, going around 1 star of 100 billion stars in the galaxy, in 1 galaxy among 100 billion galaxies in the universe, you are unimaginably insignificant
On the other hand, among in a universe containing 100 billion galaxies, and a galaxy containing 100 billion stars, in a solar system with 8 planets, on a planet with 7 billion people, you are the only one with your DNA, your background, leading to your personality, your skills, you are unimaginably important. We only have 1 of you in the whole universe, so we need you. How acn you change 'The World'? Most likely you can't. How can you change your world, well you already did just by being here. One small caring act really is like ripples in a pond. If we each throw one pebble into our own tiny pond, then together we can change the world. Oh that was beautiful man Stop it. No really, the whole your little, but your big thing Knock it off, get hold of yourself Then the you know the 'like sand in the hourglass part' That's 'Days of our life's' you deranged fool |

Making the world a better place is such an insoluble matter. One must keep the dream alive though as it is a good dream. Staying true to ourselves and those around us is one step towards happiness.

there's a BUNCH of ways we can better the world.. but first.. we must better ourselves!
empower our positives by letting go of the negatives encourage others.. instead of discouraging new thoughts and ideas pay it forward.. instead of holding back through fear embrace the life you have.. and if you don't like it.. CHANGE it for the better recycle and reuse.. lets leave our kids a better planet to play in I posted this in another thread.. but think this can easily fit into this scenario too.. |

How about this: I'd like to build a world a home and furnish it with love. Grow apple trees and honey bees and snow white turtle doves. I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. I'd like to hold it in my arms, and keep it company I'd like to see the world for once all standing hand in hand. And hear them echo through the hills for peace throughout the land. It's the real thing what the world wants today, That's the way it'll stay with the real thing. I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. A song of peace that echoes on and never goes away. Put your hand in my hand let's begin today, With your hand in my hand help me find a way. I'd like to see the world for once all standing hand in hand. And hear them echo through the hills for peace throughout the land. I'd like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony. A song of peace that echos on, and never goes away. Songwriters B. BACKER, B. DAVIS, R. COOK, R. GREENAWAY And then you can buy me a Coke |
