ok, so I love State Farm

but as many times as I have seen the commercial, I cant really understand why the guy is on the phone in his pajamas at 3am with his insurance company, and he actually does seem to be speaking in kind of an aroused perv voice,,,

anyone else find it strange?..lol

what other commercial plots do you find strange?

those dumbass geico commercials... what does a dancing lizard have to do with insurance? or philly cheesesteaks for the matter?

i guess diary queen would use a feminine gay guy for a commercial?

There's this one over here about a firm of lawyers that I can't help finding funny. It's just these three actors telling you how they will fight for you if you have a claim but they are built like superheroes and talk so seriously, while they strut about in their suits.

Weird!!

It's the weirdness in these commercials that gets people's attention, and makes us remember them.
That is clever marketing.

but sometimes the commercial is more memorable than the product

there are many commercials I remember but cant remember what product they were advertising,, that's not good,,lol

my favorite commercial is the hamsters with the car, but I was constantly forgetting what the car was until a friend helped me by associating t with 'soulmobie'

now I remember its a kia sol,,

I was at this works party dinner once and I was sat opposite a guy that worked in advertising. Never met the guy before. He was somebody's boyfriend. But anyway, I said to him how lame and unimaginative that I thought that the humour is in most TV adverts. At the time it was like all of them had this, "Well, almost all of them" punchline. My mother tends to laugh more during the comercial breaks than she does during the actual TV shows though.

There was another annoying thing that they used to do as well where they would crank the volume up a bit when they came on. Now that I come to think about it; they might have done that so that you would still hear them when you went for a toilet break or to make a cup of tea or something.

.. so I ask for help picking a vacuum cleaner and I get no response.. but State Farm State Farm get replies.lol... I should have named my topic.. if your vacuum cleaner. bites the dust... will State Farm cover it....lmsao..
