Netherlands, no winter at all. It's like spring! The eastern part of the country has had a bit of snow, once or twice, but that's about it.
Lots of storms, though, but that has been going on for years now. Also odd. I lived in Indonesia 1985 - 1987. Even back then the seasons were screwed up. Never had a proper wet/dry season. So this stuff started yonks ago. Recently read about the spraying that is done by governments, using airplanes. There's a topic on that here as well I think? They apparently do that to control the weather, meaning they f*** everything up. Heavy metals, poisonous stuff like mercury etc, which will come down, into the soil, water etc. Way to go if you want to ruin the world! |

The world already screwd when people invated nuclear and other stuff 4 kill each other..also this world is really old now, maybe its time for him to, you know, drop dead... |

The weather has always fluctuated...Although patterns in certain parts of the world have been rather odd of late.
I guess we'll see if the world blows up. |

Texas is experiencing a long string of record droughts. What used to be good cropland now has insufficient rainfall. The weather is a series of record highs and lows. The seasons are unpredictable.
What many do not understand is that Global Warming (the warming of the entire planet) results in global instability in the weather patterns. The highs will be higher, the lows lower, and the storms stronger. The overall temperature of the planet will be higher regardless of some unique cold snap or severe winter in one or more locations. All the bad things that were predicted with Global Warming are happening. Crops will be lost and fresh water supplies will diminish. http://climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus I worked at NASA. I independently verified shrinking glaciers, dying coral reefs, rising ocean temps, disappearing snow-caps, and related changes all over the world. |

Maybe it is right maybe it is wrong.
All I know is I was a Dust bowl baby and I went through the drills of hiding under your school desk because the Russians were suppose to be going to nuke us out of existence. That is how it has been going for well sixty years. So some of this "Little Red Hen' mentality makes me nervous but hardly makes me think ii is the end of days just because one of the largest breadbaskets in the world is experiencing record droughts. Yea I think we have to clean up our act and think of having a world wide food and water plan but I think the same technology that got us into this mess could get us out. |

Wow, how short-sighted you Humans tend to be.
In the USA, plenty of current crop-land wouldn't be crop-land if Humans hadn't created artificial means to irrigate that land. Some place in the USA are natural deserts, but Humans turned them into crop-lands through the use of artificial reservoirs and aqueducts. Now that those natural deserts are returning to their natural condition, Humans are fussing. |

From CBS Philadelphia: Latest Snowfall Puts Us In The Record Books
By Steve Strouss PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Winter of 2013-2014 is in the history books. Our latest blast from Mother Nature Tuesday morning brings the season snowfall total in Philadelphia above 58.4" and it is now officially our third snowiest winter ever. This is not a record many of us are bragging about. We had those opportunities in 1995-1996 when 65.5" fell on the city and more recently in 2009-2010 when notable storms like "Snowmageddon" and "Snowpocalypse" helped pile up the all time season record to 78.7" in Philadelphia. In case you missed it, what has been happening is the opposite of what was predicted by the climate models used by the IPCC. Indeed, none of those climate models predicted the record snows, the record cold temperatures, the record ice in the Great Lakes, record ice at the North Pole, or the growing glaciers. Here is an excerpt from a commentary by RealClear Politics contributor Robert Tracinski. Or try refuting global warming. Temperatures have stopped warming for more than a decade? That's just a temporary "pause" in the warming that we just know is going to come roaring back any day now. Antarctic ice is growing? That's actually caused by the melting of ice, don't you know. A vicious cold snap that sets record low temperatures? That's just because the North Pole is actually warming. So if the winter is warm, that's global warming, but if the winter is cold, that's global warming, too. If sea ice is disappearing, that's global warming, but if sea ice is increasing, that's global warming.
Now we can see what they mean when the warmthers say that global warming is supported by an ironclad scientific consensus. The theory is so irrefutable that it's unfalsifiable! Which is to say that it has become a cognitive spaghetti bowl full of ad hoc rationalizations, rather than a genuine scientific hypothesis. |
