yesterday again,bokoharam terrorists abducted over 200 girls from girls high school in nothern nigeria.Forced marriage and rape,so sad daily occurances in nigeria My heart goes out for all those girls and their families  It must be horrible to live in one of those Countries!!!

My doctor told me I am fighting a losing battle to have my civil rights recognized regarding my healthcare coverage. Then when the tears started flowing as they often do when facing an unmerciful enemy, he changed direction and told me not to give up the fight. Sometimes the fight is all we have left. Once that's over so are we. So no matter the struggle and depth of despair when all seems lost stay strong and fight on... |

Tuesday morning when I was helping mama get dressed...She started to cry and I said, "What's wrong mama?"...She looked up at me and said, "She would have loved you."..."Who mama?", I asked ..."My mother, your grandmother, she would have loved you."....
I never knew my granny, she died when mama was nine...My mother adored her...It was one of the greatest compliments I have ever received....So I couldn't help it, I cried tears of happiness....

yesterday I made myself cry....I drove 40 minutes to see my son who lives an hour away and realized I had forgotten my wallet and his graduation gift. so I was almost there and had to turn around and come back home....that's an hour and a half wasted....
but all in all it was a great visit even if slightly delayed :) it was great to see him and he seems to be thriving the reason it had me close to tears is that I really do not want to be living here in the first place. if I had been home, it would have been about a ten minute delay.

really - thanks - it still upsets me to think about it. I wasn;t mad...the whole thing just threw up the whole issue about how far away I am....plus it got my day off on the wrong foot. the most important thing though is that we had a good visit
