Topic: Whats is the best and worst part about this site?

I gotta admit. These online sites agrivate me. Most sites won't even let you make contact or break the ice with anyone..... Unless you pay for it, I mean really how hard do ya gotta try just to make conversation with people. Ok rant over, how is everyone tonight???

I hardly ever get on this site, and it has been like 2 months since I last posted anything in the forums. I like the fact that many people are opening up and being honest about their selves. The part I don't like are the scammers. Of course every site will have at least a handful of scammers, but I am clearly not one.

The best part-Being able to block anyone who gets annoying. Worst part-All those scammers, and profile's that sound the same as many others.

Its like dealing with people in real life, some are great some are not. In the forums I have found its best to wait and see various responses from a person because they may feel strongly on one subject and lighthearted on another.When I find someone who has to much negative energy I just ignore them and their posts.

When I find someone who has to much negative energy I just ignore them and their posts. I have to agree. Sometimes they get banned. I know we have to be careful when on forums.

Some great people here on the forums but too many scammers and too many young guys with mommy issues hitting on me. could be worse i had a 40 year old guy hit on me and my profile says i am looking for a woman

I just joined this site and wanted to get some input. What do you like about this site and what don't you like? The best part- You can meet tons of great people. The worst part- Most of them live a zillion miles away.

Best part of this sight is the conversations that are generated to make people think of great ideas, principals, and skills and people that aspire to them. The development of long standing mutually supportive friendships. The ability to have a world community and being able to discuss things without having editing by politicians. Respectful inner generational conversations. Bad part of this sight is the conversations that are generated to make people think of the most base, disrespectful, deceitful and selfish values are somehow acceptable and representative. That is acceptable to be vulgar and suggestive and chronically solicit sex. Also as long as you direct it to groups in general you can attack, insult, and post grossly bigoted remarks. Scammers that are easy to identify and are allowed to solicit for yahoo chronically even in forums and often masquerade as military; a crime in this country. But there is no readily identifiable forum for them. Not to mention chronic solicitation of senior members, especially those who contribute to the site by posting in forums for sex, money, shelter, immigration, and so forth. Chronic abuse of the IM feature when ever you are on line. Posting that you online outside of your mutual match areas so you have a multitude of friends requests and IM's you have no interest in . Be nice to block any IM that does not meet your restrictions.

The worst thing: scammers, desperate people, immaturity, sentence cohesion. Best thing: this is where I found my other half 6 years ago!

Sometimes if you read too many profiles, they do tend to blur into one giant profile.

They have sense of humor, no disrespect but maybe youre just thnking of the negative side. Try to ask first..dont conclude it will just cost a misunderstandin. Just saying. I pride myself on intelligence and I am smart enough to know when a young man is just looking for sex or a place to live. Personally; I think young men are too lazy to work on a real relationship with a woman their age; so they are looking for an older woman that they think is desperate for companionship. I have had enough of these dirt bag younger guys hitting on me to know better as that comes with age. I have a sixth sense when I meet people and have never been wrong on my assessment of a person; especially on what a younger guys sees in me. Sorry; but my image to the public as a military representative and as a Peace officer is important and it would reflect badly to be seen as a cougar; especially because I work with kids. I have a greater appreciation for Calgary, Alberta, Canada
