Anyone of a certain age (even just a few years out of High School) realizes that they might have had it all wrong. I ASPIRE to be a Geek!

Where lies YOUR "Geekdom"?

I was fascinated with Silent Movies when I was young, especially Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd! I would collect....and there were certain theater groups that would do silent movies "live" (with a strobe light and live piano player).

I'm just kinda wondering what Jung or Freud would have to say about that, haha.
Adoring someone because they have the nerve to be different, says something about you. Don't think I need to elaborate on that.
I think we've all been there during teenage years/early adulthood. Which is good, part of the normal learning curve of becoming "you".
But as an adult I think one should be able to 'dare to be different' (Hugo Boss) occasionally.
And if that need is excessive, think about why you need it (attention?) that much.

Hmmm... I'm going for another coffee. I'm not fully awake just yet, my sense of humour is still behind the fridge ... lol

Geek is just a very poor "word choice" to describe those special people who are twisted fabulous, beyond interesting, counter mainstream (this one is very good ), deliciously unique....Geeks are the cerebrally superior conquerors of the maze who solve puzzles at break neck speed and take us to places we have never been every time they make love to us ....Geeks make me think, they make me laugh out loud, they make me love them stupid ...To Geeks, long may they rule!.....

my geekdom is probably that I have forgotten more about birds than most people will ever know. There are a lot who know more about them than I do but they are generally scientists so they are supposed to. And that just ties into my geekiness as far as little factoids .... I know about stuff because I read a lot....yeah, a birdwatcher who reads...watch out big boy that is geeksexy....lol


I took a geeks vs nerds test one time tho and I tested nerd...so there may be a misnomer in here somewhere :) lol
