Welcome MissLiss, Vegas is a great place to visit.

Thank you! So far it's been pretty easy going. Aside from a car accident a few nights ago.

Was it a mob hit?

Lol no... We were just being driven by an inexperienced driver. Lucky no one was to seriously hurt.

Saw Elvis there in 1972.
Be sure to see all the great shows before
they go on their way :-)

I was there with a girlfriend.
We met 2 guys, one had been Bobby Kennedy's
campaign manager in Nevada.
The other was an accountant for Circus Circus.

They told us, if we wanted to see a (popular/sold
out) show, you waited until it started, say 8pm,
then you walk up to the ticket taker, palm him $5
and he would take you in and seat you.

This was supposed to allow a cheap way for the
locals/workers to get in to see the big acts.

So, we got in line at the Hilton by 8pm, I said
to the next person in line, "Isn't this line
awfully long for a show that already started?"

They said, "Oh, we are in line for the midnight show!"

So we passed blocks of people and walked right up
to the ticket taker, palmed him the $5 and he took us
right in and seated us, put in a new table and
chairs even.

Unbelievable, Elvis was great :-)

They do the $5 thing just so the workers can see
the shows, how marvy is that?

Only in Vegas.

okay here's your story

The Eternal War
BY
Ronnie Lee Jeffires
When he wakes up he hears the screams, the insults and the sound of the winter wind. The man feels the cold biting at his skin, the aching of his bones, and the discomfort of the hard concrete. When the man wakes up he sees the dark heavy storm clouds, the meager camps made by the forgotten of society, and the privileged members of society passing by him as though he was invisible. When the he wakes up he tastes the dryness in his throat like a large cotton ball. He goes to sleep and wishes to find a way to escape but nightmares haunt his sleep. The man’s stomach twists into tight knots lacking of nourishment, there is no comfortable position in which to sleep.
He finds a home, love, family, and acceptance. The sights, sounds, and familiar feelings of the street however have been permanently seared into his mind, his heart, and his soul. He wanted to escape the streets but even in his home with his family he is still trapped on the streets of his mind. He is a soldier in an eternal war he can never escape.
